Comments about GHS GBL Coated Boomers Light Electric Guitar Strings:
The coating on these strings just lasts beyond any other brand I have used. My former Black Beauties, which are great strings as well, tend to start losing coating in the picking area. NOT these GHS clear coats. the coating stays on, the feel of the strings smooth and consistant. The only wear I have noticed is a small worn slot under the string above the fret where bending has cut its way through the coating. Still no effect on the tone, sustain or feel of the strings from the playing side.
Love the 10s, I was using the 11-50s on the Black Beauties which I still like a lot. But these are my new standard set.
Coated string tech has come a long way in a few years. I find these strings to just be suberb in quality, tone and lifetime. My strings of choice.
Amazing quality here, indivual packaging which I like a lot, never had a bad set, never had a failure.
GHS makes several of the best sets of strings you will find.
A little pricy but one has to consider these strings last so long it gets weird. I change mine a lot of times just because it is a brainwash to not use such old strings. No difference in the tone or feel.
