Comments about GHS GBLXL Boomers Light/Extra Light Electric Guitar Strings:

After trying D'Addario's 10's and 9's, as well as other brands and gauges, I return with relief and gratitude to these great GHS Boomers GBLXL, with 10 on top and 38 on the bottom. They sound great, feel great, and have the perfect mix of heavier, more singing tone on the top and lighter, easier to play on the bottom. I love these strings. May they never go out of stock!

Comments about GHS GBLXL Boomers Light/Extra Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I'm 19 and have been playing guitar for 10 years. It took that long for me to find a set of electric strings that I really vibe with, and these are it. Originally bought these because I heard 10/38 is what Hendrix liked to use and apparently these Boomers are similar to a set of Fender strings from the 60s, also Hendrix-esque. Put the over-played Hendrix bit aside though and these are great strings. I like the balance of sizes because bending seems to be pretty consistent across the board. If you play heavy I wouldn't recommend these... But if you know how to work your guitar lightly with some finesse these are amazing strings. I have only ever used them on Strats, so I can't say for sure about any other guitar. I imagine they play good on anything though. Great strings, they've sold me for good.

Comments about GHS GBLXL Boomers Light/Extra Light Electric Guitar Strings:

GHS Boomers are excellent strings with a bright tone, equally great ringing clear or driven hard ... I've been using 009 sets, and 010 sets for 30 years. A new set of Boomers is essential for laying down new tracks.

this set is the same as the old 60's Fender 150 set, which is not the same Fender 150 set as now....these gauges work great.,...Duane used this set for open E tuning and for regular tuning...Hendrix used this same set....they hold tune great.....and give you stronger sounding open chords than a set of 9's and way easier bending than a set of 10's...i love these....i hope they never stop making this set..and the fact that each string comes in its own separate sleeve is great..!!...

              Excellent strings

              About Me Experienced

Comments about GHS GBLXL Boomers Light/Extra Light Electric Guitar Strings:

These strings are excellent for two main reasons. First, they have excellent, ringing tone that lasts (to my ears) considerably longer than, say, comparably priced Dean Markley strings. Second, this gauge (not always readily found in other manufacturers) is just right for me, with slightly heavier gauge on the higher strings (and so more singing tone) and slightly lighter on the lower (and so easier to play where less soloing is done).
For these reasons, I highly recommend these strings.

Comments about GHS GBLXL Boomers Light/Extra Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I am a big fan of these strings. Different brands are very different from each other, and they are all in general terms very good. You have to find your tone and your favorite, I always try other brands like D'addario, Dunlop, DR,etc. But I tend to always go back to the Boomers, because I am used to them and I like them. They are long lasting and you know they are going to deliver, so you don't have to worry about bad tone or poor quality. They bring out the best of the axe.
