Comments about GHS L3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

This is the perfect replacement string for a Rickenbacker 4003. By keeping an almost identical overall string gauge tension, there is no need to adjust the neck (which is a pain...). RIC standard gauge: 45-55-75-105. GHS string gauge: 45-56-77-98.These sound great and play smooth.

        My go-to strings

Comments about GHS L3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

I use these strings on every bass I own, fretted and fretless both. From jazz to funk, I can get any tone I need out of these, and the flatwounds let me do things that roundwounds just won't allow. As long as I play bass, I'll always throw these Brite Flats on my instruments.

        AMAZING THUMP

        By Guitardefector

        from San Francisco bay area

Comments about GHS L3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

Put them on my Fender Jazz bass today and I was astounded by the classic, old school sound of these babies. Love GHS! Only two minor complaints. These are 38" scale so I had to wrap a portion of the fat E string on the tuner because they were so long, "beware" of this future buyers. Second, they felt rough and oily, kinda like Fender flats, with that funny car garage smell. As far as smoothness I prefer D'Addario Chromes. But overall it's the sound that matters and these sweethearts deliver great sound. Plus I've noticed that there's less hum and rattle on the fatter strings, sort of like they have a built-in compressor in them. Love them!!!

Comments about GHS L3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

I've been using GHS Brite Flats in excess of 35 years! Fantastic sound for all recordings and concert venues. They're the closest in sound and feel to my original Fender copper wounds from 1964.Recommended to all 'F-clef' musicians !!!

Great strings for most any genre

        By PLK

Comments about GHS L3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

I used these strings for 20 years, playing out and in the studio. I can highly recommend them if you're looking for something not quite as bright as roundwounds but brighter than flatwounds. They last a long time as well.

        Great Strings!

        By PLK

Comments about GHS L3075 Brite Flats Flatwound Electric Bass Strings:

I've used these strings for over 20 years and I love them. They last a long time and sound great. They don't eat up your frets like roundwounds yet they sound like them. They're a bit hard to find at the guitar stores around here, so I was glad to see them carrying them. This particular gauge is really nice. Very well balanced across the board. Give em a try!
