35 years and counting

Comments about GHS R+RL Nickel Rockers Roundwound Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I've used these rollerwounds since they were in hot fluorescent packaging (the part that's black now used to be the color that it used for the lines on the packaging) and Gus (the little character in the corner) was bigger. I've had 2 guitar shops and these always go on my personal guitars. I've tried all the others but not for me. The Boomers I've disliked form day one but for years they were the only widely available GHS strings. You really had to hunt for these. I'm glad to see them making a comeback. I think the EJ and SRV sets may have helped.

Comments about GHS R+RL Nickel Rockers Roundwound Light Electric Guitar Strings:

this my favorite string for electric blues, its on my strat and my gibson 336. they wear out a little quickly, but great tone: round, smooth, and sweet. Dr Pure blues are very very similar in tone and quality and price.

Simply put, the best string to maximize your guitars ability to perform. Many factors affect tone, intonation, clarity, sustain, etc. If your set up is proper, these strings will bloom.

Comments about GHS R+RL Nickel Rockers Roundwound Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I like to try new strings out so thought these might be nice. I usually play pure nickel strings so I didn't expect a huge difference, but if anything I expected these roller-wound strings to be smoother and slightly more slick.

To my surprise, these strings did not slide well at all. I could not get over how much it felt like these strings gripped my fingers and prevented my hands from moving in a natural manner. If i wanted to slide 3 frets, it felt as though I had to put the effort in as if I was trying to slide 4 or 5 frets. I tried these and the Burnished Nickel rockers the same day and felt they had a similar feel, but the edges on the roller-wound strings almost felt sharper due to being flattened.

I'll probably try these strings again because I did like the tone from them but for my play style (Jazz, R&B, funk, & rock) the playability was not at all there. I'm hoping it was just the one set.

Comments about GHS R+RL Nickel Rockers Roundwound Light Electric Guitar Strings:

A chap at a local music store who gigs claimed them to be the best. I had been buying the most expensive strings but ordered a set for the heck of it. I just milked the ideal setup out of my Schecter A-6 with a neck adjustment and some saddle height reductions and put on the Nickel Rockers. Wow. I love how they play, sound, bend, the whole deal. But I especially like when I play with distortion presents in NI Guitar Pro 5 the sound of more than one string being played at the same time doesn't clash into one. Note shine through like surgically or something. I was surprised and think I will cease with the NYXLs.

Comments about GHS R+RL Nickel Rockers Roundwound Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I really like these strings on my Les Paul with P90's. I use the GHS burnished nickel on my other guitars but these seem to match the guitar/pickup better.

Comments about GHS R+RL Nickel Rockers Roundwound Light Electric Guitar Strings:

I have been using these for about 2 years and they are the best sounding strings I have found for my ES335. Clear rich harmonics. Jazz, Blues, Rock, they sound good for all genres.
