These are absolutely perfect for use with my beginning chime choir. I love them!
These music stands are a great first step for using a table-top music stand. Although their narrowness makes them better for single sheets than double, they are a terrfiic value for the money. Since they do take some set-up to transform the flat cardboard to a functional music stand, it would have been helpful to have some instructions included in the package. But once I looked at the picture on the website again and figured them out, I really appreciated their flat, store-able aspect.
They are definitely sturdy cardboard, but they are only cardboard. I can't imagine that they will last forever, but I didn't pay a "forever" price!
I'm so very glad I found these!!!

As a throwaway, this is pretty good, although the kids ripped the first one trying to set it up. Instructions should come with it.

Price was great but the thing was hard to put together and fell apart after 3 uses. I don't think I'd buy it again
I had to consult the picture on the website to figure out how to put it together and then the tabs bent the wrong way.
It's cardboard but what can you say. It worked for what I wanted it to.

I also like one of the other reviews ordered two because when I have two sheets of music I'm trying to learn one is not big enough and for the price they are worth it. They are easy to store when not in use and easy to set up on my desk.
For what you are purchasing and when ordering from Musicians Friend with no shipping cost... what else can you say?

I'm glad I got one of these. Actually I got two. Often I practice using a little folding table to put stuff on like picks, tuner, charts, etc. This cardboard stand is perfect as I can set it on the table and view a chart at the proper angle when needed. I store it unfolded in a magazine rack; takes about 10 seconds to fold it into shape. Of course I have regular music stands but am usually too lazy to set one up for this type of use.
Works fine for single sheets; a book of more than a few pages would probably be pushing the limits unless you bent the tabs down & taped the area up.
It's cardboard. Might last a good while if treated gently.

You see what you get - a cardboard stand. It won't hold really heavy or thick items, due to the protrusions from the bottom flaps, but for thin booklets or a few sheets, this is a good value on a budget. However, you almost have to rip it to fold in the flaps. I had to consult the picture to properly put it together. Avoid unless it is light use, then it is servicible.
