I have this and the side extension there the best!!! these things are soooo strong the only thing is that some times it when moving around the pipe twists just a little bit and it makes the legs off center because of the bend in the pipe and then you have to adjust. But other than that this is the greatest rack ever made!
I had been looking at a rack for a long time and im glad I settled on this one. The curve in the rack lets me keep my kick drum at the weird angle I like. wile keeping my toms in front of me. It's really sturdy, looks sick, and super convenient. If you like having a weird set up this thing will probably help keep you happy
I have just recently bought this rack because my stands were driving me crazy! This rack holds both my toms plus 2 cymbals at any angle I want to adjust them to. It is very easy to tighten any of the clamps and stays tight unless you untighten it. If your looking for a kick ass rack for a small price this is the perfect rack...you can add more extended racks to it to make the best rack for a cheap price!
I bought this rack to eliminate my stands and it has not failed me yet. I highly suggest that you buy this rack and the side extension. Great peice of equipment to add to your kit.
Well to tell you the gods honest truth, this is one of the best items I've got in a long time and I've always love gibraltar stuff and this by far lives up to its brand as some of the best. I have everything I own on this and when playing hard it never rocks or has ever fallen unlike any stand I've ever owned.
I recently purchased the 3-sided V Rack for my 7 piece TAMA Exotix kit. The rack just fits the drums in my kit (8,10,12,14,16). My guess is that the curved or straight racks give you a little more area to work with. Once you get the V Rack dialed in it's not only functional, it's extremely attractive! The Gibraltar clamps, arms and other parts simply cannot be beat. This is the ONLY way to go with a large set + cymbals in order to simplify set up for a gigging drummer. It WILL take some time to completely dial in the set, but once you do, mark your feet locations, set all the memory locks, code your cymbal stands for location and LIFE IS GOOD!
I just got rack the few weeks ago(V-rack w/ side extensions)I can put all three toms and all my cymbals on it and its sturdy as you know what! No more cymbal stand nightmares. What a breeze for set-up and tear down during shows. And its so compact you dont even have to take it apart for transport!!! I love it, and I highly recommend the V-rack for drummers with medium sized kits. For a bigger kit get the curved or staright rack. Gibraltar racks Slay!!!
