Comments about Gibraltar Rubber Hi-Hat Clutch Pads:

I got these after experiencing rubber pads on my Mapex Cymbal Stands. These allow the most resonance with the least movement. I bought these to put on a HiHat Clutch that's threaded on the entire shaft. In order to prevent "keyholing", yet still get some movement on the Top Cymbal, I went with these...they do the trick.

Comments about Gibraltar Rubber Hi-Hat Clutch Pads:

I like these... I'm a fan of the Mapex felts that have a felt on one side OR a rubber dome on the other side, and this is the hi hat equivalent. It truly changes a cymbals tone, and while a felt may dampen a bit, you don't always want to dampen. I like to let most cymbals ring out in their natural tone with as little interference as possible, and these help do that. You could use them 4 different ways- 2x fat side down, 2x small side down, top down/bottom up, top up/bottom down- so there's a lot to experiment with here.
