OVERVIEW

Allows highly customized setups that suit both your hand and foot.

Gibraltar's Ultra Adjust Hi-Hat Stand takes the frustration and time out of setup by allowing the player to position the stand in a comfortable leg playing position and independently position the hi-hat cymbals for best playing placement.

Setting up and positioning hardware can be a very frustrating and time-consuming task. While finding a comfortable hi-hat position for ones legs and double bass drum pedal, hi-hat cymbal playing placement is often compromised.

Featuring two gearless positioning points, Gibraltar's patented Ultra Adjust system allows up to eight inches of displacement for the upper stand section of the hi-hat. This gives the player the best of both worlds--positioning for the leg base and independent positioning for hi hat cymbals. Other 9607ML-UA features include a Liquid Drive system for balanced action, Step Tension adjustment, and a moveable leg base with 360 degrees of rotation.

Need an extra versatile hi-hat setup? The Ultra-Adjust is your stand! Order today.

Well let me start off by sayin this does have a lot of features, Knowing how to use them all is another story. Getting it set up will take some time, You'll need a set of metric allen wrenches (not included). After a few hours a few choice words you'll figure it out. It takes some getting use to it acts different than a normal hat stand as far as response goes. Also if you use a drop clutch you will have to train your self to hit the clutch right on top because the rod moves around (this could be improved). It doesn't have instructions so there are still s a couple things that I still don't know what there for. After awhile it's not to bad, it is nice to have my hat's close and my double pedal at hte right place. I like it but it could use some improvements.

I purchased the stand due to the fact that I play a double pedal. It worked great for a year, now the cable is jammed inside and nothing moves anymore. I guess the design is not quite what it needs to be. Went back to a traditional TAMA HH stand and the Ultra Adjust is now a paper weight. Better luck next time Gibraltar!

I bought one of these after reading bad review after bad review. I should have listened. I haven't had it a few months and it now is useless. Great premise, bad application. Take it back to the design table, Gibralter, This thing is JUNK!!!!!!

do not bother with this one

I first got this because of the unique placement for a double base pedal setup... well, less that a year later and the mechanism stopped working, finally the cable broke... So I took it in to get repaired at my local shop and the supplier told my vendor that they are taking it back and will issue a credit, not worth fixing due to problems with the design... so - I bought the DW 9500TB 2-Leg Hi-Hat Stand instead... Do NOT buy this POC... later

...same issue here with the quality of the cable...

By Ivan Caguiat

from New York

Just like the other who gave this product a low rating, the issue is with the quality and durabilty of the cable. The cable snapped a little bit after a year from the date of purchase. The product definitely does what is says and I was completey happy with it until the cable broke...

Doesn't go low enough

By Drumplaya

from Massachusetts

I bought this Gibraltar for my son . He hates it. The cable always catches on the set lugnut. It does not go low enough for him. 6 months old and the cable snapped. I feel like I wasted my money.Looks heavy duty, but without the cable, it is useless.

Buy any competitor's product

Pros

    Cons

    • No company support

Several reviews here noted that their cable broke. Mine did too, so I e-mailed Gibralter from their site and was told that they don't provide parts for this stand. Consequently a pricy, "heavy-duty" hi-hat stand is rendered useless by an underengineered $15 (+/-) cable. I won't be fooled again. Buying a product from a company with this level of customer support is a big mistake.

    The Cable is too weak

I loved this hi-hat stand while it worked. It was very flexible and able to be put just about anywhere on a kit. About a month or so after I bought it, the cable inside snapped and the hi-hat did not work at all. The cable on the inside of the stand is just too weak for a hi-hat of this nature.

    MOD IT!

    By Corona

    from Washington

I tried this out a bunch before I bought it. It did well as far as tension, response, and sensitivity. I have an old dw5000 and I prefer this one. I am still working on converting it to a full remote. For those of you who have height issues with this stand, try removing the "ultra adjust" section from the base. Then you have a little more play as far as placement is concerned.

    Good stuff

Maybe Gibraltar ships this stand more assembled than the other reviewers got. I had no problem setting it up. It is actually more pre-assembled than most stands. At first I was dissapointed that I couldn`t get it low enough, but I found good positioning by putting the hat on an angle. I actually like this much better. I`m very pleased with this HiHat stand. Well worth the money.

    Stay away from this one

    By Pazzo

    from Manchester New Hampshire

Undeniably the biggest piece of junk out there. Sure, it adjusts like it says...but i bought one brand new and in less than 6 months the cable broke where it attaches to the foot pedal. Gibraltar not only never answered my (4) emails to them, but the dealer i bought it from told me that Gibraltar was not going to honor it even through a dealership.
Stay away from this one, folks...JUNK
I felt bad giving it even a one star rating.

    its what it looks like

    By donald-c4NP9

    from citrus county florida

I got my ultra adjust highhat in the mail right away and it took me a matter of minutes to set it up. there are so many adjustments that I cant figure them all out the only thing that I have left to do is fighre out how to adjust the height. When I figure that out look out because there will be another drummer in the world that really rocks!
