I have used these banjo strings for as long as I have played banjo. These strings do not break easy and they have a long life. The sound of these strings is phenomenal. I play a Gibson Archtop, so I desire the Doug Dillard/Ralph Stanley sound. These strings give me just what I need. I strongly recommend that you purchase these strings. Don't let the price scare you away. They are well worth it!

Execellent strings

Comments about Gibson Earl Scruggs Signature Light Banjo Strings:

I have not tried these strings for a long time. I kept trying different strings on a gold Tennessee five string but could not get the sound that I wanted. Put on a set of Gibson's and wow what a difference. Try them you will like them.

Comments about Gibson Earl Scruggs Signature Light Banjo Strings:

Recently purchased an Epiphone banjo model MB-200. The strings that came with it were already showing signs of corrosion and they did not sound good. Installed these and... WOW! Nice bright tone that is much louder than whatever was originally installed. Made a entry level banjo sound much better. They are staying in tune too. I like them.

Earl Scruggs extra light 5 string banjo strings are the only ones I buy and use. They sound better than any other manufacturer.

Comments about Gibson Earl Scruggs Signature Light Banjo Strings:

The strings on my Dean Backwoods 5 string banjo were rough on the fingers. I bought these because they have Earl Scruggs name on them and I could get them in light guage. It was worth it. They sound great and are easier on my fingers which makes me want to play more. I can't comment on durability since I am not experienced enough to put them through the ropes and I haven't had them on very long. I would recommend them.

After trying many brands and guages i found these to be the bezt. They are packaged in a sealed package. They sound the crispest and brightest of any i have tried.
