Wow, I could not be more disappointed in an original Gibson product, especially being quite expensive. I bought this as a replacement for the original case that came with my Gibson Les Paul Custom. This is not even close to being the same case. The leather wrap on the outside feels cheap. No combination flip lock. The inside is plush and okay. Price needs to be reduced by about 150 for this quality. I'm sending this back.

After waiting nearly 2 months for a Gibson Les Paul case, this poorly designed case arrived. The handle is 5 inches closer to the neck-end of the case than my original Les Paul case, so the guitar is way off balance when trying to carry it. The back of the case drags on the ground, the neck-end points almost straight up and it hurts my wrist because the handle is so far from being level when carried.
If you have an imitation Les Paul or a hollowed out model, then this case might work for you, but if you have REAL solid body Les Paul then there's a good chance this case won't work for you.
Also, the case is not made in the USA.
Very disappointed.

It's worth every Penny - if you can have the real thing then use the real thing. Well constructed I mean plush man. I going to get one for my Epiphone Black Beauty 3 also.

It's great fitting case for my Les Paul the mid compartment is large enough to be useful interior lining seems to be glued well and it holds the guitar in place. Outer case covering is well attached but the edges can be felt like in time they'll come apart. I personally think the manufacturer could have done a better job on it in other words workmanship was not equivalant to the premium price charged for the case and the latches instead of having one key locked it has a lock latch for a padlock not a good design!For the Price your own mileage may vary!!

OK, if your les paul didn't come with a case, take a look at the Epiphone case after you look at this one. This is not the same LP case that comes with a Gibson LP when you buy one. This is the exact same case as the Epiphone, just with Gibson printed on it instead of Epiphone. Overall, They are very excellent cases.

pros: It fits a Les Paul well. It fits snug and the padding fits the contours of the guitar. The outer shape is well formed. Latches seem decent and align well. Outer construction seems well built. cons: A poor job wrapping the tolex around the edges on the rounded parts (top especially), is very bumpy/excessive and doesn't seem to be glued down very well possibly due to this. Some of the fabric lining doesn't seem to be glued very well possibly due to the poor work on the tolex. Also there is excess glue on the seams of the tolex.
