Comments about Gibson Special Alloy Humbucker Light Guitar Strings:
Great string for the money. How can you go wrong they came on your Les Paul Studio
Comments about Gibson Special Alloy Humbucker Light Guitar Strings:
I use Gibson Humbucker strings on all of my guitars. I've got a Gibson Les Paul Standard, Epiphone Dot Studio, and Fender 72 Thinline Telecaster. All those guitars have humbuckers in them and I play a wide variety of music on them through a Fender Hotrod Deluxe and a pedal or two. Put as simply as possible, I just can't get my sound without them. I've been playing for 17 years and these are by far my favorites. Some reviews talk about these strings wearing their hands out but I've never experienced it myself.
Comments about Gibson Special Alloy Humbucker Light Guitar Strings:
I had seen these and thought I'd try them . After an hour or so my fingers started to hurt. so i stopped. I tried on a few different occasions ending with the same result. With regular Gibson strings I have no problem playing 2-3hours. Playing the Blues, I bend the strings a lot. At home or jamming these are excellent sounding strings but are tough on the fingers. they have great sustain with a full tone. I am also going back to either brite-wires or vintage reissue's. imho the gibson strings are very good but with these beware.
Comments about Gibson Special Alloy Humbucker Light Guitar Strings:
I became interested in these when I saw they were optimized for humbuckers. The price was right so I thought I would try a couple of sets. These strings sound great on my Gretsch. They are now my string of choice. They stay in tune pretty good for being 10's. If you play a paul or any other humbucker guitar, you wont be disappointed. My only advice is to buy some extra 10's. Like any other light gauge, they will break on you if you get aggresive bending them.
Comments about Gibson Special Alloy Humbucker Light Guitar Strings:
I've used three sets of these strings on my Les Paul and they do sound incredible. Tune up easily and stay in tune fairly well. I like to play agressive lead solo's. I'm not sure what it is about these strings but after an hour my fingers are shot. I've tried three sets just becuase I really like the tone. But not worth the pain. Back to Bright wires.
Comments about Gibson Special Alloy Humbucker Light Guitar Strings:
I'll tel you, these are the greatest! They make all the difference in the world to the sound of an electric guitar. I originally bought them to go with my LP Humbucker (which is the best deal on Gibsons' presently), but the neck was too big for my little girl hands. I traded down to an Epiphone LP100 with a smaller neck to try. As you might guess, the sound difference between the Gibson and the Epi was significant. The Epi sounded like a toy in comparison. Then I put a set of these strings on it and, BAM, it sounded like a professional instrument. The sound that they produce is truly significant and worth the money. I have since found "my" true guitar (Epiphone Midnight Limited Edition) and will be replacing the (not bad) stock strings before my next gig. Get 'em, they're hot!
