I just had my Gibson CS-356 re-strung with these strings. Wonderful sound. The tech who re-strung my guitar in the music store was so impressed with the sound of these strings that he described it as "insane" and jokingly wanted to buy my guitar.

The strings are wonderful. They are .11's, so yes, they are harder to bend. They'll give your fingers a workout. Everyone's used to lighter gauges these days but originally all they made were .12's. Lighter gauges sacrifice tone for easy playing, but the guitar isn't supposed to be easy. These strings are NOT FOR A FENDER GUITAR. Why anyone would want to use these with a strat or a tele is beyond me. They'll sound great on your Les Paul or any other Gibson.

I use these stings on all 4 of my electrics including my hollow body. They are thick and have lots of low end tone.

These guitar strings nearly ripped out my guitars guts!! They should be called vintage Mandingos. I got a fender strat and in the process of tuning these wonderful strings I nearly snapped my guitar in two pieces. So Buyer Beware. They produce a great tone, but are they worth it?

These strings are just as good as any other Gibson strings I've used. They give a really good tone. The only problem is, since they're thicker, they're harder to bend. It's better to try different gauges and then choose which suits you best for your fingers and your style of playing. Overall, all Gibson strings are really good.

These strings sound great! I use the 11s on my Oscar Schmidt for playing slide... Very nice tone, warm and silky.
