Amazing strings. They sound GREAT!, which is always a plus (no?). The stay quite 'cold' even under heavy playing (i.e., unlike some other brands I could name *cough cough Ernie Ball, D'Addario,* they don't become all sweaty and disgusting when your hand starts to sweat--a critical quality, almost as important as tone. They also last a long time--I'm very finicky with my strings, and rarely leave them on more than 5 or 6 days (because all those NPS ones start to sound dead and awful), and while the tone does start to go downhill after several days, you can leave them on for several weeks and they'll still sound pretty good. The value is great, even though they're expensive, because over the long run you spend less money replacing crummy strings, the quality is amazing (Gibson even nails that stupid G-string, sounds great), and the features...well...they're guitar strings?

I use these strings for for my Gibson Les Paul Junior and I play alternative rock. when I first put these strings on my guitar, I can hear and feel the difference. no matter how hard I strum the strings, they resist breakage. I've had the same strings for over 6 months!!! I strongly recommend these strings. They will play for a long time.

I put these strings on my Schecter semi-hollow body with Gibson 57' hum buckers. They add extra warmth to your tone, they sound a tad bit muddy and more trebly than regular strings since they're extra loose. They give your tone extra high-end bark and make your axe sound a little more twang; they're great for playing blues and some classic rock. If you already like how your guitar sounds, don't get these strings; just get Ernie balls, GHS, or XLs. Since they're ultra light, it's easier to execute vibrato and 2-1/2 note bends, when you first put them on the unwrapped strings will detune like crazy when you bend, especially the high E string. Overall, they're good strings, I wouldn't say excellent.

I use these on both my Agile "cool cat" Jazz hollow body and my Epiphone "Special II".For blues in particular, the 9s give me tone and holds up well to all the bending and hard-hitting I mete out. That fact that they are "reissue" makes me wonder why they were discontinued in the first place? But for now, these are what I'll use indefinitely.

I use these on my Guild Starfire 4, Fender Deluxe Strat and my '74 Ovation Balladeer and get superb tonal quality for the different styles of music I play on the different guitars. They play better, longer than the previous brand of strings. That's a bonus to me. I'd use no other.

I have been playing electric guitar for 40 years and have used also sort of strings and these are some of the best. The tone, sustain and longevity is really amazing. I use these on my 335 and its so nice to not have to replace the strings every couple of weeks because of dead strings. I highly recommend these strings. Another Gibson classic.
