I have to say this nut is the best nut so far that I have experience with, I installed it today on my mexican 60's fender strat I had problems with tunning because everytime I d use the tremolo the original nut would mess things up so I installed this baby today and the response was fantastic I use my tremolo now a lot and it goes back to tune really nice and smooth.. I never thought a nut could do so much of a difference ....I highly recommend this nut to replace plastic or artificial bone nuts you wont regret it !!!! plus it's cheap!!!

While the product is as good as others have written, my problem with the nut overshadows those positive qualities. I have an older Squier Strat with a radiused nut slot and when I removed the center tab the nut goes too far into the slot causing the low E string to hit the end of the fretboard before the headstock. I even have staggered tuners that raise the E string a bit. I doubt if the slot was originally too deep because the original plastic nut wasn't very high and still didn't cause the string to hit the wood.

Slotted Nut

By batlsby

Comments about Graph Tech Slotted Trem-Nut for Stratocaster:

I put this on my Squier Strat and it made all the difference in the world. The guitar is much easier to tune and stays in tune longer than it did with the old nut. I would highly recommend this product and I'll be putting it on most every guitar I get from here on out.

Great Nut

By Fuzzy John

from Howell, NJ

Comments about Graph Tech Slotted Trem-Nut for Stratocaster:

This nut replaced the original in my 2008 Mexican Strat. The G, B and Hi E strings sounded just a bit muffled. The replacing job was easy. This nut needed only minor sanding to make it fit in the slot and then a little more sanding to bring the sides flush with the neck. Since the slot botton was curved I had to sand down the little tab in the middle. Other than that the height was perfect. No further sanding required.

Easy Upgrade

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Comments about Graph Tech Slotted Trem-Nut for Stratocaster:

I recently modded a couple of old electrics. One was an LP the other a Strat. I put Graph Tech nuts on both. I also added locking tuners and GraphTech saddles to both and now I have no more tuning issues at all; no more string kinks. I am meticulous about the work that I do, but it was so simple to sand these a little herev and thereto allow them to fit perfectly. I will be putting one of these babies on every guitar I own forever more!

Fits Within Seconds

By MyNutWorksNow

Comments about Graph Tech Slotted Trem-Nut for Stratocaster:

I purchased this nut for my old Cort Strat and it fit almost perfectly. I had to sand it for about 10 seconds for width and it was in. I think it made a difference in tone but then again anything would have helped this guitar sound better. Great buy to replace a worn out nut and add a bit more tone.

Trem-Nut for Lefty

By Johnny Sain

from Kansas

Comments about Graph Tech Slotted Trem-Nut for Stratocaster:

You can order one made for a lefty. I got mine from the Graph-Tech website. I filed down the center slot and a mm from each side. Works great and looks super on my Black Tele. Didn't do a thing with the string grooves.

One of the best...

Comments about Graph Tech Slotted Trem-Nut for Stratocaster:

Installed this thing on My strat and I love it. I have a Rosewood finger board so the dark color of it is cool. This was a very easy nut to install, all I had to do was file the edges down because it was too long for my neck, but the thickness and height was perfect. I now have great tuning stability and like the best action with .11 guage strings. I am going to order one of these for my Telecaster next.

Lefties beware

By Larro Lee

from Huntsville, Al.

Comments about Graph Tech Slotted Trem-Nut for Stratocaster:

I ordered this baby and it don't go on a lefty. It's got a radius on one side that is backwards for a lefty strat. You might have to find a tech to put you a graph type of nut on it like I did.

It works

Comments about Graph Tech Slotted Trem-Nut for Stratocaster:

I was having difficultys with tuning and once I installed this nut the issues dissapeared. I tried all the tricks prior including graphite, lubricants etc....this Graptech product worked. I don't use the tremolo bar on a regular basis so I really can't comment on the tuning aspects there...but I like this product and my plans are to order another one right away..not sure about the wear and tear on this material but I want to be ready to replace it.
