Installed in a Fender Hotrod Deluxe Greatly improved the drive side of the amp. As for the clean side and drive side I did notice I had to adjust the volume down one number. Quite a bit louder with these tubes. I could have been that the other tubes we worn out.

after great disapointment with GT , I searched and discovered and bought JJ tubes from Eurotubes. My amp has never sounded better it's quiet, and it has a great warm rich tone...and they were cheaper ..seek and you shall find too!!
I know why they tell you that you can return these once you take them out of there box, because you probably would !! I installed these in my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. I reset the bias, and when I would play any low notes I would get a low tone buzz/noise. these tubes are very noisy and microphonic.
they sound very harsh, the treble is a killer and not in a good way...
I would return these, but you can't, so I lost money on this deal

A lot tubes sound a like in the 6l6 family, this does not. CHP?s are definitely a new favorite. I'm bias to Ruby's, sometimes they're JJs, but have experience with Groove Tubes. I put these in a modified Deville and they delivered great tone, really smooth. My tone was a fat and contained low end and a sparkle high, perfect for my old Jensen?s I have loaded. They do not sound as "big" and overwhelming as a GC in my opinion. I really liked this tube over previous uses, 6l6 type and brands. GT's has really got a nice product here. I really would like to try them in some other amps, especially el-34 style amps that lack bottom as this really is like an in between to me. I?ll definitely be using these exclusively in my 6l6 kits from now on, and definitely a solid turn on with Groove Tubes as the last few run ins have been pleasant, and the other companies not so much.

I really wanted to get me some of those USA-made RCA 6L6 GC tubes for my Blues Deluxe, but you gotta buy 'em used or NOS and I just didn't want to sell my house to pay for 'em. So, I got me some of these here ones since they say they are most like the RCA. Well, I gotta tell you, these are some totally freaking bad to the bone sounding tubes! I had to throw away the original Fender tubes after listening to these. They don't seem as "loud" as many other types, but that allows me to crank the amp volume a bit more which is a good thing. Aside from that feature, the overall tonal quality is almost shocking in its relevance. Layers of intricate, spacial, harmonically rich and diverse tones abound. Gone is the flat and compressed mono landscape. Commanding, tight bass with multi-demensional mids and highs. All this from a power tube? I sound like some kind of nut, but let me say, I now love this amp where I was thinking of selling it before.

replaced the old 6l6b sylvaina original 1957 model stromberg/carlson PA amp used for guitar,these tubes tested even and veryhigh output on hickock tester,great sounding and strong low to high notes,real dynamic responce,ive never heard my les paul this dynamic,dont worry they burn a little blue (slight impuritys in vacume causes that,not a problem,4 rated but im not sure about distortion,it has a killer voodoo child e chord,great sounding tubes!

I put a set of these in my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe when my amp tech did some mods. He checked these out and said they were made on American machinery to the same specs and design as the old black plate RCA tubes that in my opinion were some of the best guitar tubes ever made. (of course I'm old school country, rock, and blues player) so you may or may not agree. These tubes sound fantastic, are very warm, articulate and dynamic with clear clean tones and just the right amount break up as you turn up.
