I bought two - one for a solid-body electric and one for my Ovation acoustic. As long as you are sure to pull the stabilizing feet out of the back of the stand and are careful when you put your guitar ON the stand, you'll be fine. They're easy to haul and easy to use. I like them.
Does what is says - holds an acoustic guitar, in my case an Ovation A/E. The best thing about it is that it folds up into a disc and I can easily carry two in one of my gig bags.
It's well built, well engineered and well finished.
It's a little spendy for a single guitar stand, but with two on stage, I'm covered.

The electric version might be OK ,but I'm thinkin' solid body only.
A very cool idea. This stand folds up into about the size of a frisbee and would easily fit in most gig bags.
The parts that hold the guitar body on the bottom don't lock into place very well.
You need to make sure that the istand is on a completely level surface, otherwise it will tip over.

This discus-sized thing is really clever. It works for my jumbo body 12-string. The weighted base makes more stable than it looks, but it's not much better than football tee if there's any traffic around your guitar. So, for solo gigs, recording rooms, etc., it works and makes a great "guess what this is?" gag.

Odd design that makes one believe you can store the stand in a gig bag. Way too heavy base for that and yet it's still not very stable. Much better stands out there. I wouldn't waste money on this contraption.

I love hercules stands i have several, and i bought these for the portability of playing out and traveling. They scare me, i am not going to trust my guitar in those stands...upset :(

At first sight I thought this was a marvelous invention for gig bag portablility. It works great in the bag but is virtually useless as a guitar stand. The "acoustic" island stand is unstable, the instrument leans too far to the rear for the support legs and the base is too wide even for a full size dreadnaught. The stand designated "electric guitar" is more acceptable for thin line guitars and excellent for a banjo.
