Comments about Hipshot Stainless Steel Tele Bridge 3 Hole Mount with Standard Saddles:

Just got my Hipshot Tele Bridge in today…. … I built my Telecaster about a year ago and this is the third (and last) bridge I will be installing on this guitar……When I first put this guitar together, my intentions were to use everything Fender and I did, right down to the Fender retro-style bridge with Ashtray cover……. I played the guitar quite a bit until I thought it was time for a change. I needed something with a little better quality and updated saddles on the bridge… I settled on the Hipshot Bridge from Musician's Friend……. I only wish now, this would have been my first choice. This is a high quality part that is easy to install and easy to set up. I am very pleased with everything…… Before installing a new bridge like this, It's always wise to check and lightly oil all treaded parts. It doesn't hurt to run the screws in, and out a couple of times before installing the strings as it makes it a little easier to tune the bridge…..… ….

Comments about Hipshot Stainless Steel Tele Bridge 3 Hole Mount with Standard Saddles:

For those that want something between either the thicker metal of Callaham, Gotoh 201, and the thin .040in vintage type, this may be your answer. These have replaced the Glendale, Callaham, Wilkinson by Gotoh, and Fender AM standard bridges on my Fender Custom Shop, James Tyler Tylerbastar, and Suhr Pro "T" style guitars. Hipshot makes the 3 hole AM STD, type, and vintage 4 hole types. They are slightly longer at the base, and I believe this helps them lie completely flat without the 2 top screws that are on other bridges. This bridge did the trick on a tele that would not react tonefully to the thin metal bridge. Of course every individual ear, and piece of would is different. It took a long time to find something that works for me. Some may find the stainless steel saddles too bright, but I was astonished how well they work on my teles. Much better sustain, but does not dampen the highs like the Gotoh 201 does to some guitars. And, no more annoying "karaaangg"(although, that's the "vintage sound to some) and feedback at high gain.. I have a winner!! Highly recommended!!!!
