Comments about Hosa 1/4"-1/4" 8-Channel Recording Snake:
Ditto on the 10 years of use (1-3 times per week) to record from mixer Insert I/O. A few of the lines have heavy in-line pads that have been attached for quite a few years---no problems or failures. It is coiled and cased between gigs. I carry spare cables but haven't had to use them in a decade.
Comments about Hosa 1/4"-1/4" 8-Channel Recording Snake:
We've used these on our sound system for patching between the board and FX racks, and they've held up well for over 10 years of regular use. These used to be unplugged and plugged in every single week for at least five years, but now they usually stay plugged in. Haven't had any problems, except that the fan isn't very wide, so you can't have one plugged into input one of a 24 channel mixer and another on the fx return, but that's the only flaw
Comments about Hosa 1/4"-1/4" 8-Channel Recording Snake:
i have had one of these for about 2 years, and its taken alot of abuse. it still works great though! i would reccomend something better if you can afford it, but for the price, this snake is pretty good.my only complaint is that the cables only come out about a foot from the cable sleeve, if your jacks are far apart (such as opposite ends of a mixer) this may be a problem.i really like the color coding feature however, it is very easy to make connections because each cable is a different color.the sound quality is decent, not great.its pretty much "you get what you pay for"overall this snake is pretty good, and for the price you cant go wrong!
Comments about Hosa 1/4"-1/4" 8-Channel Recording Snake:
I've used these low cost Hosa snakes for several years now with no problems. The wires are color-coded, not just the 1/4" plugs, so they're easy to identify in dark spaces (like behind a rack). Granted, they aren't fancy, but in a semi-permanent installation (these don't appear to be built for the road) and with proper handling, they've never let me down.
