Well, I bought an Ibanez Prestige that fit perfectly into this case which I bought for it. Then I threw a couple of dice onto the tone and volume knobs of my guitar. In order for this case to accommodate the modification I had to cut a couple holes into the inner lining which was a pretty easy job.Well then I got a nice thick Levy brand strap to keep my shoulder comfortable through long gigs. This case has very little room in it for anything besides the guitar. So I had to cut out the bottom of the little space for a strap then also had to carve away some of the padding on the lid just so I could fit my strap in this thing. The good news is that I discovered just how well padded this case is, you're guitar will be safe. It's held in tightly without putting pressure on the strings or neck (you can hear the strings ring inside so they're not being touched, which is a good thing). The outside is also very tough, nice thick plastic with metal bindings. So this is a good case to keep your guitar safe. I wish there were some added compartments like some of my other Ibanez cases (I have several Ibanez guitars and cases). But with a utility knife and a little glue to put the nice blue fabric back in when you're done carving the padding you should be able to make this thing accommodate whatever you want to keep in with your guitar, within reason.

My case just came, and I was completely disappointed with it. Not having any view of the inside of the case from even Ibanez's website, I anticipated a much better case than arrived.Originally, I considered a one-size-fits-all case. However, for what they cost, I figured I go with a genuine Ibanez case designed specifically for my guitar for a few bucks more. Now, I bought a Fender case for my Fender Strat for less money than the Ibanez cost, and thought Ibanez would provide similarly high quality levels, especially given the price for this case. I could not find anyone who had this case in stock, and therefore had to order it blind.Let's start with the good: The guitar fits great. The "shag carpet" lining is very deep. Lot's of pockets to store stuff. Cool looking Ibanez logo molded right in the case. That's where the good ends. The bad: There are no trap doors on those pockets. Any attempt of opening the case while standing on it's feet results in the stuff in those pockets dropping out of them. The molded plastic, latches the aluminum rims that lines both sides' edges and rubber feet all seem thin and cheap. This is a budget quality case with a good OEM fit for the guitar. However, the price is anything but budget.Honestly, just looking at the SKB Freedom 6 case, it seems as if this case was made by them for Ibanez with the differences only being the molding for the guitar and the Ibanez logo molded into the case itself. Honestly, I just expected more from a case from the guitar maker themselves, and after owning a Fender case for sometime, which is made with far better quality. If only the guitar would fit in my Fender case...

I own many of these and have had them shipped to and from Iraq many times, without ever having a problem except the rubber feet get torn off so they don't stand on the edge well, but the guitars remain in perfect condition. if you are going to spend the money on a nice guitar get a case to protect it, and these do that hands down.

Comments about Ibanez M100C Hardshell Guitar Case for RG, S, JS, and PGM:

The case was sent in mint condition and a day later the handle broke on it and the molded material inside that holds the guitar wasent glued in right and came right off. the same thing happened to the inside molding with all of my ibanez cases except 1. its very strong and supportive but lacking the time and effort in this case.

Comments about Ibanez M100C Hardshell Guitar Case for RG, S, JS, and PGM:

Its a good case overall and my Ibanez S fits like a glove. Also looks very cool with the blue interior linning with the bright-blue version "S" guitar.I took my guitar in to have the setup checked and when I opened this up at the register everyone gathered about to ewww and ahhh. The linning is plush and the padding is very rigid inside. (The inside still smells like glue or something months after my purchase if thats a concern for you.) The hardware and latches seem sturdy. There is lots of storeage inside but no trap door compartment ( I have to get use to that.)I agree with one of the other comments made about the outside having a little flex / give to it ; I have an SKB case for my strat that I could probably stand on top of but I would not try that with this case so I guess depends how much knocking around you think it will get. The overall size is a little bulky as you can probably see from the picture ; I am use to cases that are cut to the shape of the guitar on the outside. It was a little pricy I thought so see if you can catch it on sale or make a deal. Hope that helps

Solid Case

Comments about Ibanez M100C Hardshell Guitar Case for RG, S, JS, and PGM:

Wow this case is great, I got it with my Rg and it well, does its job. Its been bumped around a bit but it hold up nicely. What I like about this case, unlike other cases, is that they have utilized nearly all of the free space. Also, what I find is cool is the little "bridge" the neck of the guitar rests on, it look great as well as adding addition protection to your guitar. My only lack of features is that there are some spaces which could have been used up...any this is great and does what it should do,

If your looking for a case for your late 80's USA Sabre, this is it, my 1988 USA Sabre has found a new home, fits perfectly. Has a perfect size cutaway for a 12' cable , wrench, picks and extra set of strings. Who could ask for more? Plus the embossed Ibanez logo is a nice touch.

Ibanez M100C Case

By Old Metal

Comments about Ibanez M100C Hardshell Guitar Case for RG, S, JS, and PGM:

Holds my RGT42FXQM very securely. The inside is very soft and plush. I have no problem with the "smell". It's not a bad smell, just a "new" smell. The case is new and it's always closed; of course the fabric/glue will smell for awhile...totally normal. My biggest complaint; I wish the outside were thicker. I remember when "hardshell case" meant HARDSHELL. The outside feels a bit thin...like if you dropped something heavy on it, it might crack. I've not tested this, obviously, but commenting nonetheless. I've no doubt that the case will well protect the guitar under normal usage conditions, though. The interior has a few different sized compartments for strap/strings/picks, but none of them compartments have lids. The lid of the case has little carpeted protrusions that sort of fit down into the pockets to hold the contents in place when closed. So far, everything stays in it's pockets but as time goes by and pile of the carpet inside gets crushed a little, we'll see what happens.I'd have gladly paid another $40 or so for an Ibanez (guaranteed to fit your guitar properly) case with the features as I described. The three latches that keep the case closed are nothing special. The middle one has a key lock, but that's just insurance against the case accidentally opening. Anyone with a pocket knife could open the lock in two seconds. For the money, it's a good case.

Comments about Ibanez M100C Hardshell Guitar Case for RG, S, JS, and PGM:

The case itself is a good-looking hardshell guitar case. The inside is very plush and appears to be shaped perfectly for a comfort fit with the RG series. I am not used to cases without compartments, like this one, so we'll see how things work out in this open environment. The hinges and latches seem quite cheap compared to the rest of this case. To get my left side latch to engage I have to grab the top half of the case and pull it towards me until the parts line up and close, the other two line up okay. The carrying handle is positioned off center to the effect of my empty case looking like it's going downhill. Maybe the guitar evens out the load? All in all I would have expected better quality workmanship for the price but as I mentioned, the hinges and hasps take my review down from what otherwise would have been 5's. I would recommend sending it back if you aren't happy with the quality. The only way a manufacturer will keep producing sub-standard equipment is if consumers keep buying it.
