Comments about Ice Pix Brass Guitar Picks - 3 Pack:
Fair.
Slots keep pick from shifting
Picks must be stamped out on press. They are sharp and concaved on one side. May want to sand sharp edge side.
Fair price.

If you play mandolin, GET THEM!Sounds great on guitar too.
Great grip, great sound, quick attack on the strings. Makes my mandolin sing.
No sharp edges, no bumps.
For $5, I'm very happy with these picks.

I got my first brasss pick in 1984 - I still have it and use it. It is worn on the end, but still usable, I don't let anyone touch it. These don't flex. You can pick as fast as you want. They sound great. I prefer brass, but have steel also. But these are the best.
Comments about Ice Pix Brass Guitar Picks - 3 Pack:
These picks are pretty sweet. I play mostly metal, so everything i play is very fast. When i first started using these it took getting used to, but within an hour i was back up to speed. These things make ur playing extremely accurate, and are perfect really. The price is high, because i know they just stamp these out of a huge sheet, but where else will you get this? By the way, it flexes almost exactly like a plastic pick of it's thickness. Totally worth it.
Comments about Ice Pix Brass Guitar Picks - 3 Pack:
I have tried just about everything out there always picking up a new pack of picks anytime i bought anything at a guitar store, and settled on different picks for a few months at a time. But with these brass ice pix I'm fully stuck on them. I have always wanted a pick with virtually no flexibility to play with laser precision, and these picks offer that without being 2.0 mm thick-which is unwieldy. I bought these based solely on that premise, yet when I started playing, the chime effect it has became my favorite feature of the pick. A lazy strum brings out out all those upper harmonics you love hearing and a hard attack has much more presence and bite. Pinch harmonics are very pronounced and all attacks sound off with a hint of harmonics. Great with slide for a buzzsaw blues sounding effect. The overall effect is electrifying and I definitely get more powerful dynamics out of any instrument I use it with. Attacks are precise, crisp and golden. There is very very minimal flexibitility to these picks which is perfect for me. They bend less than any plastic picks 2mm or smaller. I recommend using poster-tacky, silly putty or some other related substance to keep these picks in hand and to make them ergonomically mold to the fingers better. Downsides to the picks are few. The price could be better, but I still continue to buy them so there worth it. They do last forever, just dont lose them. If you play hard they also have a tendency of chewing up your smallest wound strings and unwinding them a bit. Dont dig in with these after putting on a new set of elixirs or you may regret it. Overall the high voltage sound and laser feel I get with these are well worth it. The steel ones are also awesome too, they are a little thicker and basically completely rigid. I use these on les pauls, ovations, mandolins, classical guitars, and banjos.
Comments about Ice Pix Brass Guitar Picks - 3 Pack:
I've had my brass ice pix for about 3 years now. It shows signs of abuse: scratching, nicks and fingerprints (brass tarnishes), but has held up really well. The 3 slots at top feel really good and enhance the grip, especially when using a light touch. The medium brass pix is about .73mm like one of my nylons, but does not flex. It makes a chiming sound (as opposed to the click of nylon/plastic) when it strikes the strings. This is an acquired taste as the tone stays bright through the life of the note. Lightly held and likewise strummed on an acoustic, it can elicit sitar like tones. Ice pix are a good product and value that can enhance some musical styles. I like 'em.
Comments about Ice Pix Brass Guitar Picks - 3 Pack:
I like the sound that provide. I use a silver quarter, shaped to a pick, and the ridges from the edge make the string ring out. this pick does the same without those ridges somehow and is a standard pick size. The quarter is slightly smaller. It will turn your fingers a bit green/black/dark since it's brass, but don't think that is a real issue. I think they are a bit high in price, and if more expensive would not be buying them. otherwise, I like them very much. I used to use a very soft pick, but found that if you use the rounded edge and angle this pick, the strings roll off the pick better and I can pick "faster" without getting hung up if I dig to deep on the string.
