The Intellitouch PT10XL Traditional tuner pushes the boundaries for small, compact tuners while boasting a large, easy-to-read, backlit display. The Intellitouch instrument tuner uses the latest in digital technology. A state-of-the-art, low-power digital signal processor analyses the pitch of your instrument and displays it on the PT10XL tuner's large, digital crystal display for easy reading.
The PT10XL tuner's display offers the original arrow-type display standardized by Intellitouch. Its innovative backlight shows red when your instrument is out of tune but switches quickly to green as soon as your instrument goes into tune.
The Intellitouch PT10XL let you use microphone input and a 1/4-inch guitar plug input. The Intellitouch tuner can be recalibrated between 430Hz and 450Hz using the A-Ref button.

Made the purchase based on earlier feedback. The device did not work out of the box. Assumed I received a "lemon", and returned it for another one. The second one did not work either, and had clearly been opened before (probably by the last person that returned it).
Very disappointed.....buyer beware!

This is a really nice tuner I bought it for my son, so I put the batteries in it for him and thought I better check it out to see if it works.......well that was about two weeks ago, I like it so much I kept it for myself. Now that I know it works so well I guess I will be ordering one for my son after all. It really seems accurate. We like that.

It tunes my bass and guitar and acoustic no problem, free clip on mic great bonus and giant screen. I just hate that it states AA batteries not included when it does come with Batteries but not AA but AAA so I lost about $10 before hand buying a AA Recharge System when this tuner uses AAA. The manual also says AA so this is the only reason I find upsetting but it does what it suppose to and it will hold up well.

By today's standards, this is a big tuner, which isn't a bad thing. It's easy to read from a distance; it uses a color-changing background instead of small, colored LED's for indicating when you're in-tune; it's very accurate; and you won't easily lose it.This tuner comes with a surprise: it includes a clip-on microphone for contact-tuning. Most companies charge an extra $10.00 or more for this. This addition allows you to tune all three ways: by plugging in an electric instrument, by tuning and acoustic instrument with the built-in microphone, or by using the contact-microphone on any instrument in noisey enviroments.The PT-10XL is dirt-simple to use, which is handy when you're trying to tune between songs. But as simple as it is to use, you still gat all the tools you'll need: a back-lit display, it's easily re-calibratable, it's chromatic, and it's accurate. For what this costs, buying one should be a no-brainer.
