Comments about Jensen C10R 25W 10" Replacement Speaker:

This speaker came stock in my Fender '65 Princeton Reverb Reissue, and to date it is the best-sounding speaker I have heard. I had heard a lot of hype about alnico speakers and other brands and expected I might need to upgrade the stock speaker. However, after much experimentation I stand behind this speaker 100%. Perception of sound is subjective; that being said, this speaker is clear and warm without harshness or muddiness. It is very well-voiced for guitar. Sometimes the cheaper, lighter-weight speaker really is better...but of course let your ears decide.

Better than I was expecting

Comments about Jensen C10R 25W 10" Replacement Speaker:

I purchased the reissue Jensen C10R as a replacement for the damaged Oxford speaker in my '71 Princeton Amp. Initially I did so as a temp measure, with the intention of eventually replacing it with a Weber. Two years later, and it's still in the amp. I had heard mixed reviews of the reissue Jensen speakers, and while they may not sound exactly like the 60s era models, they sound much better than what everyone led me to believe. It has a good balance of low (100-200Hz) warmth and treble (2-5kHz) articulation, and fairly late breakup. It's not an extremely efficient (nor inefficient) speaker (~94.7dB@1W,1m), so if you're looking for maximum (or minimum) volume for a given wattage, you may want to look elsewhere. It does pair nicely with old Fender tube amps such as the Princeton, and provides a classic, well known sound.
