Purchased these speakers to replace Blown speakers in a friends cabinet. He had one speaker in his cabinet. I made an extra speaker hole in his cabinet and placed two 16 ohm speakers in parallel to make an 8 ohm enclosure and double his power capacity. They sound great and efficient for the price. no complaints from my friend. We could have spent 5 times as much for speakers but these do the trick. Great econimical solution.

I had to replace the speakers in my silvertone 2X12 cabinet and my amp tech recommended these inexpensive speakers. They sound FINE, but are nothing special. If I did it again, I'd do a little more research and maybe go with eminence or celestion.

I loaded four mod12-50's into my 4x12 cabinet and tried my 50W transister output amp and my all tube 50W amp. Lots of output, tight bass but the upper midrange tore my ears off! The frequency response of my cabinet corresponds to the curve of the driver - four major peaks between 1.8Khz and 5Khz. The price was good but I can't handle the upper mid, even after breaking them in. I'm changing drivers again.

Sounds better than my 212 Orange Cab. I play a Bad Cat through it. Sounds great. Very chimey and crystal clear.
