    Comments about Jensen P8R 25W 8" Replacement Speaker:

    i bought this to replace the stock Peavey speaker in my little Valve King Royal 8 thinking it would be a dramatic improvement. While it is a quality speaker, i don't hear enough difference to warrant the $90 for it. With speakers this size, you're never going to get any real punch, depth of tone or beefy weight to your sound. If you've literally blown your speaker or damaged it in some other fashion then i'd suggest going with a cheaper Jensen speaker or other brand rather than thinking spending more will turn your little practice amp into a tone beast.
