These strings have the best tone I've heard yet on my D-28. I've tried other brands and so far none compare.

I had the opportunity to meet John Pearse at a Guitar Show in Nashville back in the 90's right after acquiring a Larravee 12 string. He very kindly handed me a set of his light guage 12 strings and said "try these on that guitar". I've used them exclusively on ever acoustic i have ever since then. The tone on my martin, larravee and takemine are the best i've found. I've played professionally for many years (30,,,,,oh man,,,) and find his strings to play evenly from rich low tones to crisp high tones. I change my strings every three gigs (bars, taverns, concert halls, etc.,)and have never been disappointed.

i bought these strings because the guy at the guitar store said they have great quality. but i like to tune my guitar alot to different tunings and theswe strings break the first ime to try to tune them differently. they even broke when i was tuning them down! i wouldn't recomend them..

I shopped around for a long time to find strings that I liked to listen to and liked to play, and that complimeted my D-28. These are absolutely the best that I have found. I play hard and fast and have never, ever, in hundreds of hours of live playing, broken one of these strings. One problem with them though is that they don't last very long. About halfway through a 5 hour gig I start to feel like they are losing their ease of playing, and a few days after a gig they are corroded to the point of being basically unplayable. I love these strings and will always use them no matter what, but if you play a lot, you need to be prepared to change strings every time you play out, I've tried to stretch it to two with terrible results.
