These worked with no modifications on my 2001 SG Standard. Heavier than OEM and gears are much smoother. Nice upgrade and stays in tune better.

These machine heads are a little expensive, but Tone Pros make the best after market parts on the market. Put the black ones on my Les Paul,along with the Tone Pros bridge and aluminum tail piece. Wow, what a serious upgrade to the tone and overall sound. Plus, in all black it just looks great. Worth every penny. They are a breeze to change, and stays perfectly in tune.

I just installed these tuners on my 2009 Gibson SG Classic. They were a direct fit replacement and the tuning action is nice and smooth. The tuning keys themselves are not the "puke green" that some people hate. The washers that were included were a bit thicker than the Gibson pieces so I stuck with the Gibson piece. The supplied screws were also just a hair smaller than what was alread on the guitar so they didn't fully tighten. Not a big deal just don't throw away your old hardware if you're going to use these as a replacement swap. Overall a nice product and worth the money.
