We use these stands for home storage of student cellos, 1/8 size, 1/2 size and 3/4 size. (yes, three cello students in the family) They are great for these sizes (even when the cellos are in their soft cases), not sure how they would work with a full sized cello. I like that the profile of the stand is compact, no hooks extending to get tripped over or caught on things. Great product.

I LOVE THIS THING!
WON'T DAMAGE NITROCELULOSE FINISHES! This is the most important thing about a stand, and most all of the others I researched DO DAMAGE TO GUITAR FINISHES. I ordered this one hoping I'd like the structural design as well, and I was NOT DISAPPOINTED. A very sturdy stand once set up, this is by far the flattest stand available when folded. I had it shipped to me at work and was able to carry it home in the outside narrow pocket of my computer bag. Very cool. VERY STURDY. It is a relatively inexpensive item, but one of the most important guitar (or cello or french horn, as well, apparently!) accessories you will ever need. If you're on stage, it's a huge oversight to not have a stand with you, and like I said, this one is very portable and very reliable. At home, maybe more important, I feel confident that I can keep my favorite guitar at my side in the living room and not have to worry about the rubber ruining the finish on my guitars. It's also adjustable as to how wide you spread the two holding prongs on the bottom apart, so you can customize it to fit an item as small as a ukulele, or as big as a Gibson Jumbo. I'm buying another to take to gigs, so I can leave my living room guitar right where it is when I do a show. COOLNESS!

This is well built, holds all of my various musical instruments and folds flat to fit in a small briefcase. The most impressive part of this stand is the design - the way it folds and locks, then open and locks is simple yet ingenious. It is sturdy and asthetic - excellent purchase!

I got a few of these as gift and I really like these. They fold up flat and are solidly built.They work great for rounded or flat guitars/basses. Will not work for flying Vs and Explorers etc.I highly recommend

This is the best I have used, my musician friends all use them too. It is both light and sturdy (both!). It is width-adjustable and fits my huge modulus bass and my uke. Actually I have three of these stands cos they're so good. And collapsable and very portable. No sharp edges so safer for dings. Get it.
