Comments about K&M Microphone Stand With Boom:

I've been a performing guitarist for over 40 years. I've owned every brand of microphone stand imaginable. Recently my "cheapo" stand gave up the ghost. I thought about just buying another nineteen ninety nine, stand and forgetting about it. But I thought about the investment I've made to own great equipment, why not a quality mic stand?

Like Skunk Baxter, I've always performed while seated, so I wanted a low profile stand with a boom that would stay in place. Not gradually lower itself under the weight of the microphone. I also need something compact and light weight. But mostly I wanted something that would last. So Google and I went to work and found this stand. It has great reviews and luckily it was on sale at Musician's Friend. So I ordered it.

It got here just in time for a gig I had that night. I unpacked it and set it up in seconds. You can tell by just handling it, that it is a high quality stand. The guys in the band, I could tell, were just a little bit jealous. After the gig, I folded it down and put it in a small gig bag.

If you are a working musician, my advice is pay a little more and make your life a little easier and worry free. K&M stands get my highest recommendation.
