OVERVIEW

The first Korg footpedal-style tuner!

The Korg DT-10 Digital Pedal Tuner offers a solution for guitarists and bassists needing accuracy, a wide tuning range, and an easy-to-read display. You'll be able to tune conveniently onstage or off.

The DT-10 has the widest tuning range of all comparable tuners, E0 (20.60Hz) - C8 (4186Hz), and supports dropped tuning (7-semitone flatted tuning mode). Featuring an angled front panel for convenient foot operation and clear viewing, the DT-10 uses both a large, 13-point LED meter for its pitch display and a 16-segment LED display to identify the note being tuned.

This results in the most accurate readout of all stomp tuners and unmatched visibility on dark stages or in low-light situations. In addition, the DT-10 offers adjustable calibration from 438Hz - 445Hz for tuning up to or down to a specific instrument within an ensemble.

The DT-10 provides 2 output jacks: a bypass jack that always outputs the input signal and a separate output jack that can be muted while tuning between songs. This gives you flexibility to meet the needs of a variety of situations.

FEATURES
  • Floor-type chromatic tuner optimized for guitar and bass players
  • Simple, stable design with a rugged body
  • Easy-to-read 13-point LED
  • 16-segment note display for excellent visibility

  • Detection range of E0 (20.60 Hz) - C8 (4186 Hz)

A top-quality tuner for ANY instrument

Ask me a question

Comments about Korg DT-10 Digital Pedal Tuner:

As an "Extended-Range" bassist I've had to be very careful in my tuner purchases, making sure they can not only read and properly tune a low B-string on a 5-string bass (or even lower when drop-tuned to A or even the low F# of a "Sub-Contrabass" tuned to F#BEAD) as well as the high C-string of a 6-string bass or a 5-string strung EADGC as I use for the ability to the high-range parts of a 6er while being much more comfortable playing 5-strings. My tuner for over a decade was an mid-90's Korg BT-2 bass-specific tuner that did a wonderful job in spot-on tuning in both areas but was housed in plastic and not strong enough to use as a pedalboard-mounted tuner (it still lives on doing a wonderful job as my "Practice Area" tuner). When revamping my Pedalboard a few years ago and realizing that it was time to try out new tuners, the Korg DT-10 "Mark I" (the Silver bare metal original model as opposed to the Black-colored revisions) was the first on the list and quickly ended up as the front-runner and eventual winner. The combination of ease-of-use (step on it to turn it on and start tuning until the analog needle-like LED display centers... or simply start tuning if you're like me and have your pedal fed by a side-chain signal and not in-line with your signal - much easier to tune "on the fly" that way). The display is accurate and quite easy to see and understand: besides the LED display that shows in cents how far off you are as well as small arrows for a subtle visual cue in which way to tune, you also have the inputted note in a nice large area, a medium-sized dot to indicate sharp notes, and another dot that indicates "Flat Tuning", a mode that automatically drops the tuner to Eb, Ab,... tuning that many rock bands often do to sounds a bit heavier without moving to lower "Drop Tunings" and to give Vocalists more range. In my opinion it's the perfect amount of information to give the on-stage player without overloading them with various pieces of info, something that a good deal of tuners do which relegates them to home usage but not live. The rear connections are follow the same concept, giving you 1/4" Input, Output & Bypass jacks to use as well as the controls for the "Flat Tuning" mode and a Calibration Button if you don't tune to A440 and want to set the tuner your personal Standard Tuning... useful for Middle Eastern, Asian and non-Western styles of music, and finally your standard 9V power supply input.Having owned the DT-10 for quite a few years now I'm perfectly comfortable with it and see no reason to "upgrade" to a newer model. Besides the slight decrees in size they don't do anything that I feel I would need without jumping to the next price level ($150 and upwards) and some feel downright cheaper underfoot, a very important fact for a pedalboard-mounted tuner. The DT-10 has been an important part of my pedalboard setup since I purchased, and should theft or breakage happen I'd likely purchase a used model as opposed to a newer tuner. "Newer" doesn't always mean "better".

Comments about Korg DT-10 Digital Pedal Tuner:

I love this thing. I've been using this tuner for guitar and (mostly) bass for about 6 or so months now. We tune a half step down, so the flat tuning feature was necessary. The mute feature is great, the tuner is easy to see onstage, and I have only had to replace the battery once or twice. This is one of the few "must haves" in my gear bag.

Comments about Korg DT-10 Digital Pedal Tuner:

If you are in need of a tuner pedal, get this one! This item was bought as a "Stupid Deal of the Day" promotion, but I believe that it is well worth the normal rate. So far it has proven to be very accurate and sturdy, fitting in nicely on my packed pedal board. There is no additional hum present and the ability to turn off your whole pedal chain to tune is very useful in most circumstances. The only quirk I can find so far is that the switch is quite soft so you have to get used to it, but it is a blessing when compared to my old Crybaby Wah, Pignose Overdrive, or other hard-switched pedals. The display is clear, there are multiple tunings to choose from, and you can switch from silent tuning to bypass tuning among other features.

Regardless, it has served its purpose and I have successfully tuned my guitar, bass, and auxiliary instruments continuously since purchasing. It definitely earns its place on my board until its unlikely death or explosion due to overuse, an errant bolt of lightning, someone sabotaging my pedal board with an inferior power supply, or some sort of liquid spill. Even in those circumstances, however, it would probably survive, but I will update you if that ever happens. The point is that it will serve you well; enjoy!

Comments about Korg DT-10 Digital Pedal Tuner:

I bought this a few months ago and its a solid stomp tuner. I like the two outputs so you can choose to mute while you tune or heard yourself tune. I dont like way it's designed to tune off of 440 hz, but I've never done that and i dont know anybody who does. Display is bright, unit works well.

Comments about Korg DT-10 Digital Pedal Tuner:

Bright display, grate with the bypass, precise tuner, easy to see, solid performer, design, and a quality unit. It being so easy to use speeds up the tuning time, the bright display makes it easy to use in the studio as in is dark most of the time. (It's a good thing)

Comments about Korg DT-10 Digital Pedal Tuner:

I've had this pedal since january '04. it's held up really well and tunes great. I use it with a digitech ex7 and boss sd1 and dd6. Tone intact :), even when using the non-bypass option (mutes while i'm tuning and I've comapred it with bypass......tone sounds good). It holds up well to my size 16 feet, and runs well off of batteries (though I prefer to use my dc brick). Get it.

Worth the investment

By Chris S.

from Xenia, OH

Comments about Korg DT-10 Digital Pedal Tuner:

At first, it may seem a little steep for a tuner, but it's probably the most reliable item in my musical arsenal. I play in a 100% live environment, and not only does it cut down on the "hey, can you mute channel 12?" time, it also allows me to get a quick tune between songs without plugging anything in. Noiseless bypass, able to take a bit of damage without breaking down, and the batteries last a decent amount of time as long as you remember not to leave your cords in overnight. All in all, if you can lay down some cash for a good pedal tuner, the Korg DT-10 is the one I would recommend.

Comments about Korg DT-10 Digital Pedal Tuner:

I got this pedal for my Ibanez 5 string bass and let me tell you this thing has amazingly low range. I wasn't expecting it to pick up my B string very well but it reads it flawlessly. This pedal is also very sturdy and heavy built. Buy it and you wont regret it.

Best tuner pedal. Period

By DivideByZero

from Baton Rouge, LA

Comments about Korg DT-10 Digital Pedal Tuner:

I had one of the fender tuner pedals for several years, but alas, it finally gave out. I couldn't decide if i wanted a rackmount korg, or just another pedal, but i went pedal. The quality of this is on par with their rackmount versions. The other two guys in my band use the boss pedals, and they were both jealous when i whipped this out the first time. Super-solid build, huge smooth led's (dont jump around at all). Couldnt be happier. Plus the downtuned settings are way easy to switch between. Solid enough tuner to intonate your guitar by, if that tells you anything.

I bought this as a stupid deal of the day special to use on a backup pedalboard. It had good reviews, so I dished out the cash for it. I was not disappointed. It's a nice tuner. The only thing that could make it better would be the addition of a 9v output to power other pedals - like my Boss TU-2 does. Also it comes without a power supply, but for the price, I won't complain too much. A solid pedal.
