See and hear the tempo accurately with this easy-to-use digital metronome!

The Korg KDM-2 Digital Metronome lets you hear the tempo clearly, even over loud instruments. Korg has built in an improved cylindrical resonator speaker and your choice of 3 different PCM tones (cowbell/agogo/clave). The KDM-2's adjustable volume level and a headphone jack let you practice at the volume you want.

See the tempo with the KDM-2's easy-to-see large LED. The start/stop switch blinks in red and green for silent metronome practice.

The KDM-2 contains a total of 19 beat patterns from basic beats to variations like son clave and rumba clave. You can set the tempo in any of 3 ways: Full Step mode lets you adjust the tempo over a range of 30 through 252BPM in single steps; Pendulum Step mode lets you set the tempo using the preset tempo settings, as on a mechanical metronome; and Tap Tempo mode lets you set the tempo by pressing the TAP switch at the desired interval.

Sound Out mode outputs a reference tone that you can use as a tuning guide. You can listen to any of the 12 pitches from C4-B4. You can also adjust the A4 frequency (calibration) in a broad range of 410Hz-480Hz.

The KDM-2 provides a memory backup function that remembers the specified tempo, beat, calibration, and reference pitch even when the power is turned off.

The large LCD screen makes it easy to view the settings. An encoder-type TEMPO/CALIB dial and a Step Select switch provide quick and direct access to settings and functions. Featuring an original design that's compact yet stable, the KDM-2 is at home on your desk, your piano, or anywhere else.

The KDM-2 is designed for long battery life. It will continue marking an accurate tempo for approximately 120 hours of continuous use at a tempo of 120BPM.

Comments about Korg KDM-2 Digital Metronome:

I love the fact that I can use it with headphones! I love the features - adjustments that it offers. It is easy to use, easy to see if you're not using phones, and unlike others who have rated the product - I haven't had a problem with the dial. I highly recommend this metronome. If you are thinking about saving by buying something cheaper, I would rethink it! To me, this metronome is worth the difference in price.

Comments about Korg KDM-2 Digital Metronome:

I Bought this metronome because we do a lot of two piano pieces and other metronomes are hard to hear. This one is pretty loud and I am happy with it. ONe beef and it is a minor one. The volume wheel is too deeply recessed and a little bit hard to turn. I would buy it again though.

              Great Metronome and Drone

              By Brooke Privett

Comments about Korg KDM-2 Digital Metronome:

This is a great product for the price. It is much louder than the doctor beat DB-90 and it's $100 cheaper. The only problem is that the wheel for adjusting the tempo is hard to turn.

              I sent it back

              By Thomas Harbin

              from Auburn Al

Comments about Korg KDM-2 Digital Metronome:

              I don't recommend it.
The features were fine but the reason I paid $50 instead of $20-$30 was because it was supposed to be loud and it wasn't any louder than any other cheap metronome. Also, the button to start the click was large and protruding from the top which caused it to click on by itself and sound like a bomb in my backpack. Poor design.
It doesn't really offer anything extra for the bigger price tag.

              Favorite Metronome

              By Clari63

              from North Carolina

Comments about Korg KDM-2 Digital Metronome:

I have several metronomes, and this is the one I always choose when I am practicing at home. It's simple to use, loud enough, has enough variety of settings, and it's easily adjustable. This is one of the few metronomes that we can use in woodwind quintet rehearsal without plugging into an amplifier.

              Korg Metronome

              By Biowaste

              from North Carolina

Comments about Korg KDM-2 Digital Metronome:

I've owned and replaced 2 of these units. This is a quality metronome with a cowbell sound option, which I enjoy better than just a click-ish sound. However, the headphone line out connection is junk. They work fine, then they will start to short out often and wear out over just a couple months of use.If you plan on buying a metronome with the intentions of using the headphone jack often, look elsewhere.
