Modes: Guitar, Bass, Chromatic - which allows you to use alternate tunings, not just EADGBE.
Pitch Calibration: 436 - 446 Hz
Fret Setting: Calibrates to selected fret so you can use it with capo on the neck up to 7th fret. ALSO works for drop tunings up to 5 "frets" lower.
You do need to read the instructions on this one. If you don't realize you're set up for second fret capo you can spend a lot of time being really confused. This is a feature-rich tuner, but very well designed, so once you understand it it's very easy to access all of its flexibility.
It can hide behind the headstock very nicely. It's quite small, and not all that bright, which concerned me at first, with my 62 y.o. eyes. But it is bright enough, and I like that there's no E.T. green glow to distract from the visual of an otherwise gorgeous guitar.
This is a great tuner. Get it!

Since this is priced beyond the range of a "economy tuner" I feel like I should expect more from it,and you do get some good features; it clearly tunes to sharps and flats/it seems rugged enough(almost heavy)/it is very accurate. Now the bad;It sucks batteries dead REAL fast(so you can't just leave it on for very long)/It takes a couple of seconds to "recognize" the note your playing/It is IMPOSSIBLE to see this tuner at AT ALL in daylight/it's kind of bulky IMO.SOOOO...What you have is a tuner best suited for non/live playing and recording. If you play out alot you may want a more user friendly tuner. For this price I expected a "do it all" tuner, which this IS NOT.

Comments about Korg Pitchhawk Clip-On Tuner:

Son in law has the prior model and I really like it. So, as most might do, I chose the same brand, yet new and improved model. Well, I think the prior model (amber colored / lit face) is easier to "see" when using. It also seems the older model might be a bit "faster". This new one will be fine. Just thought I'd throw this out there.

I've relied on AW-2s for several years now. They are nicely sensative, but tend to be fragile. The pitchhawk seems sturdier and the control buttons on the front are easier to access.

Comments about Korg Pitchhawk Clip-On Tuner:

i bought this tuner for traveling and found outside events it was hard to see the screen. in most cases, i couldn't see it at all and that was in the shade. the indicator floated around not knowing if the guitar was in tune, until played. i use a korg " tone works " effect peddle that has a tuner. comparing the two in tuning, at the same time, both read different. i trust the korg " tone works " more.

I bought this tuner after checking out several. I am satisfied with it and glad I bought it as it does what I need it to do and at a reasonable price. The clip grips tightly to my strat and its easy to use. The only thing I wish was different is that the screen was bigger.

never seems to stop 'dead on'. and different color 'dead on' light would be a nice touch. the buttons seem big enough, if you're a three year old.
