This is an affordable capo and as you know... capos are like ink pens and lighters, they tend to change owners rather often. For the price of some capos you own five of these. Some higher priced spring loaded capos don't always press the strings down hard enough and that is why I like this one because of the adjustable thumb screw. At twenty bucks a pop for some capos, I like having more than one instead of a lost high dollar capo. This is a big bang for the buck capo that will do the job and will not let you down. Happy higher register playing!!!

This capo is good if you're on a budget. For lower-priced capos, I still do prefer the standard Dunlop elastic capo. However, this capo is very small so it's easy to bring it anywhere. It does take a little while to setup since you need to tighten it down.

Really the only bad thing I see in this capo is no matter what I try, I get buzzing from the high-E string and to be honest, the construction doesn't look overly sturdy, it looks like it won't take much for the thumbscrew to bend the part that holds the buttom of the neck or for the rivet to eventually pop.

Comments about Kyser Pro/Am 6-String Guitar Capo:

Great low profile so it stays out of your way for tricky chords. Not meant for extremely quick changes like the lever-style capos, but the lever on those types can get in the way.

    Works great!

Comments about Pro/Am 6-String Guitar Capo:

I needed one for both Bass and Guitar. Since it isn't spring, I can adjust my tension to what I need.

Works GREAT! Both Bass and Guitar

Comments about Kyser Pro/Am 6-String Guitar Capo:

I use this to work on my basses and guitars. You can set the tension via the screw, so works on both bass and guitar. Best part is, its also one of the cheapest!

Great for my 60 year old nylon strung Tijuana Acoustic and the my Taylor GSmini, Won't scratch, good for casual play. Not a "quick change" but I didn't want one of those.

Comments about Kyser Pro/Am 6-String Guitar Capo:

This isn't quite what I was expecting or needed. It is too complicated to make quick key changes while playing. I ordered a quick change by the same brand that is more positively reviewed.

Great for 12 string and 8 string baritone guitars that need more tension than a spring loaded capo can provide.

Comments about Kyser Pro/Am 6-String Guitar Capo:

These capos are inexpensive and take the worry out of losing or breaking them. I buy a few at a time, and give them to my guitar students to use. I also use them in my band. Although not as quick as a clip type capo (think Keyser), they still do the job just fine!
