Comments about LaBella 760FL Deep Talkin' Bass Flat Wound Light Electric Bass Strings:

I usually play the upright bass but I recently had to dust off my old Fender Precision to play for dances on a regular basis.
I use flatwounds for the strong and full sound I am used to with the upright. Over the years I have used several other flatwound string sets but I wanted to try the LaBella Deep Talking Bass flats after reading so many glowing reviews. Now I see what they were jumping up and down about.
These 760 FL (light gauge) La Bella's have it all. They are very smooth to the touch and deliver a deep strong bass sound with a focussed centre. No mush. They are also flexible enough to allow you to feel and control the notes easily. Definately not a high tension string. The only other flatwounds I have used that come close are the GHS Precision Flats but the Labella's sound a bit more solid.
Any bass player who wants to groove with a solid, deep and authoritative bass sound will find these LaBella's really deliver. I have no hesitation about giving them 5 stars.

Precision Bass + LaBella Flats = Thumpity, thump, thump.
THE definition of what pbass tone should be.

Comments about LaBella 760FL Deep Talkin' Bass Flat Wound Light Electric Bass Strings:

I put these on my Fender Standard FSR Jazz Bass. The more I play them the sweeter they sound to me.
Nice amount of Tension with good string to string balance. Little more than TI Jazz Flats that I love but not as much as others I have played. I replaced Fender 9050 Flats with these. Well I can say these strings blow the 9050's out of the water in tone, feel, and I was able to lower the action. I like the tone with the S-1 Series/Parallel switch in Series mode which sounds closer to a P bass. I recommend these for anyone who likes a Vintage sound like in Motown or other classic 60's and 70's stuff.
