Cutting-edge passive pickups with huge sonics and totally unique look - now pre-loaded in a great-looking pickguard.

The radical Lace Alumitone pickups have less resistance and high output with clear, big frequency response in a completely noise-free passive design. Constructed with aluminum rather than copper, they have a current driven design as opposed to conventional voltage-based guitar pickups.

The aluminum water jet cut exoskeleton is matted with a micro-winding using 90% less copper wire than traditional designs for an extremely lightweight and efficient pickup. Sonically, this gives these guitar pickups more volume, more bass, and more mids with nice, clear, smooth high frequency response that cuts.

Alumitone pickups normally require a slight pickguard modification, but now you can order a cool pickguard preloaded with 3 of these awesome single-coil pickups!

Lace includes a warranty card and other useful information regarding Lace Music Products.

    These pups amazed me

Comments about Lace Alumitone Pre-Loaded Pickguard S/S/S:

I have an american fat strat with 1 holy grail and two texas specials, a tele deluxe with s-1, les paul custom. I put these on a signature strat knock off just to test them. They are hot, noiseless, and respond better than I could have dreamed in terms of tone and volume control. Read about lace in the june premier guitar magazine. They out performed my expectations. I may switch out the strat set up because they are the best.

Comments about Lace Alumitone Pre-Loaded Pickguard S/S/S:

Upon opening the box, my initial impression was, "This is what I paid for?" All I could think was cheap cheap cheap...and I don't mean inexpensive. The pickguard is flimsy plastic, the tone/volume knobs are low quality with the plastic molding nibs still in place, and the selector switch contains a loud clicking when changing positions. The wiring is extremely small gauge with no shielding, and the jack is weak an easily bent. Although skeptical, I continued to install it in my guitar. It is not an easy drop in as advertised. After all was said and done, the pick-ups did sound amazing in the neck and bridge; however, no better than any other humbucker/noiseless pickup that I have played through. The 2, 3, and 4 positions sounded terrible. Extremely weak sound and with a noticeable hum. I had to double the volume on my amp to even hear anything. I called customer support at Lace, and they told me it was a defective unit. I have since returned it with no plans of re-ordering. Overall, the pickups look good and sound ok, but I think there are better options out there.
