Simple to install. Good sound and pick-up for the money. I only wish it had a 1/8" jack into the pickup so I could pull out the cord when using it unplugged on my Martin DM. Sounds good on my PA system without a preamp. I picked up a cheap preamp and plan to experiment with the sound.

I've been trying to find a good match to my Carvin Cobalt acoustic and this one works great! It has a really nice sound for a soundhole pickup, perfect balance from string to string, strong bottom end, and it matches up well with most simple 3 band EQs. It will need a hi Z preamp to drive a board channel, but you can usually use a bypassed Boss pedal or similar if you don't have a dedicated preamp or hi Z DI sitting around.Keep in mind, this is a magnetic soundhole pickup and as such is going to have that magnetic sound. It's going to be quite a bit warmer than your usual piezo and isn't 100% true to the original acoustic tone, but then again nothing other than the acoustic sound is a true 100%. I haven't tried it, but can imagine this Lace faring well with acoustic amps/modeling preamps. It should work nicely with your typical acoustic simulator and a little reverb added on for good measure.Overall, and excellent pickup that is easy to install and is very reasonably priced.

I just purchased this acoustic pickup and I am very pleased with its performance. It is very easy to install and remove, and the chord is long enough even for most live performances. The sound is great. I used it plugged into a small PA system, with the bass, mid, and treble right in the middle, and it sounded great. Not a bad price considering it sounds similar to higher priced models. The major difference is that it doesn't have a built in volume control. But that's really not a big deal in most cases.
