      I purchased this cable along with another brand at a similar price point just to compare the two. The Blue Demon has a thicker jacket and just feels more durable than the other. I have been using this cable almost exclusively for the last year with no problems. I will be buying this in other lengths, also.

        I'm just learning the bass guitar, and this was my first cable. After research, supposedly Lava was a great brand name, and this was a bass guitar cable. Imagine my frustration on Christmas day when the bass didn't work, and after testing the guitar at my local music store where I bought the guitar, they also checked this cable. The guitar was fine, the cable was DEAD. Pretty frustrating experience.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
