Comments about Levy's Ergonomic Bass Guitar Strap with Contoured Moveable Pad:

First off - I'm a guitarist. I prefer the have a low-slung guitar, but I can never find a strap long enough. For some reason I thought a bass strap would fill the bill. Wrong. There is no strap length adjustment. When strapped on I feel like a Brit playing a Rickenbacker. It is a great quality strap but I'm going to have to use an extension. If you like a low-slung bass this is not the strap for you.

Comments about Levy's Ergonomic Bass Guitar Strap with Contoured Moveable Pad:

I have a Levy's strap on every stage bass I own and most of the "specialty" basses as well. I bought one of these to use on my G&L L2500 which is a VERY heavy axe that is, otherwise, a delight to play. Mine has a Swamp Ash body (I think it still has about half the swamp in it actually!) and a 5 string maple neck/fretboard that combine to make an incredibly solid, back breaking axe to hold up and this strap did a marvelous job of supporting it. The leather is very thick and sturdy and the workmanship is flawless, as are all Levy's straps. The conture pad distributes the weight very well across the shoulder, is butter soft and finished in suade on the underside, and the whole thing is great for playing on a stage where you'll be standing the whole night. Using it while sitting however is an entirely different story. That thick leather and velcro that make up the strap is very stiff so if you sit it's constantly sliding off your shoulder. The weight of the pad only adds to the problem most of the time and when the suade underside of it does actually stick to your shirt ,keeping it in place, the pad its self is so stiff that it will be poking you in the throat all the time. I'm in a cover band, backing a female lead, on the bass and we perform several slow songs that allow me to sit quite often on stage during a show and since I'm not a lively spring chicken anymore I take full advantage of the fact and play seated as much as is possible. I also sit through most practices and this thing just straight annoyed me so much, trying to keep it from either falling off or poking me, that I replaced it with a Levy's 3" Neoprene Strap (I own 5 and they're the best strap I've ever used in over 35 years of playing by the way!). Also to adjust the length and/or pad position you have to deal with some of the most heavy duty velcro you'll ever see and its not a quick or easy thing to do, so if you do pick one up for stage work you better have it right where you like it cause you won't have the time to fix it once the show starts! So long story short its fantastic for taming a heavy axe while standing but its absolutely useless if you play while seated. If you want a strap that does both and is the ultimate in comfort buy the 3" Padded Neoprene, you won't find a better product for comfort and support.

I own it and love it!

Comments about Levy's Ergonomic Bass Guitar Strap with Contoured Moveable Pad:

I've owned this strap for a couple of years now and love it. It spreads the weight out across my shoulder nicely and is the most comfortable strap I own. I don't agree with the review that says the 1-inch internal strap can be felt on the shoulder. For me, at least, that's not a problem. The underside of the wide shoulder pad is suede so it holds in place well. Highly recommended.

Needs a re-design to make it better

Comments about Levy's Ergonomic Bass Guitar Strap with Contoured Moveable Pad:

This would be the worlds best strap if it were not for one problem. The i inch strap that goes through the middle of the pad absorbs most of the weight. It really starts to bother me after a short time. When I first tried it out I thought I was in heaven. Then reality set in when that one inch hard leather strap started to bite into my shoulder. It needs a serious re-design to make it better.

        Great strap!

        By JDX

        from Central California

Comments about Levy's Ergonomic Bass Guitar Strap with Contoured Moveable Pad:

I've owned this strap for about 3 months now. It is very comfortable, distributes the weight of my bass very well (no more back spasms at the end of the gig...). The main issue I have is with the length. I am 6'4". I wear the bass rather high, at least compared to a guitar but the strap is a little shorter than I would like it to be even when its length is 'maxed out'. Would I buy it again? Definitely. If you are looking for a comfortable strap to help lighten the load of your bass I would highly recommend this one to you.

        Levy's Ergo Strap

Comments about Levy's Ergonomic Bass Guitar Strap with Contoured Moveable Pad:

I bought this strap to use with my new Agile double neck guitar. The guitar of course, is heavier than a standard one neck guitar so I wanted the extra support. this strap gives that support.
