A remark about the color: many others have said the color is different than the picture - I disagree.

I own this strap, and both in real life, and in the picture (I'm holding the strap up to my monitor comparing them), they are both essentially the same color. It's not red - it's not plum - it's maroon - and it looks spectacular.

I have received many complements on this strap!

This strap looks great with my 1990 Gibson Les Paul Studio, which is "wine red" (maroon) with gold hardware.

The ends are very durable. I gig with this strap, and another Levy's strap with the same exact ends, on my bass, and both straps have held up very very well. My instruments never slip out of the ends, although my Les Paul will if I hold it at -extreme- angles, trying to make it fall off, multiple times. Angles you'd never have while playing on stage.

Others have said they don't know if this strap can take repeated taking on and off of the strap - I take the strap off every time I put away my guitars, and it is still holding up after months of use, pretty much is the same as it was the day I got it.

This may be positive or negative - this strap has little grip - it's a comfortable feeling, but it slides very easily. Don't count on it to hold your bass in a position that fights gravity a lot - for a guitar it should be no problem.

Really not pleased at all. The pattern is cool(and the reason I bought this) even though the color is misrepresented. But mine was cut in a way that the pattern is badly off-center. Not sure it's even worth sending back.
    considering I'll never use it.

Beautiful strap. Looks great on my Vox SDC55 Teaburst guitar. Also looks great on my Les Paul Wine Red Studio. Got one for my son-in-law's Wine Red Les Paul also.

Comments about Levy's Heirloom Guitar Strap:

Bought a new Fender Cherry Burst American Deluxe Telecaster and thought this strap would look nice on it. Found out this Tele is a player and when this strap arrived I put it on it not only looked great it was so comfortable I could keep that guitar on my shoulder all day long and not even feel it! It was a great choice and being a Levy's strap I wouldn't expect less!

Comments about Levy's Heirloom Guitar Strap:

First, this strap looks outstanding on my Ovation Celebirty Deluxe CC44, Spalted Maple...it is not cumbersome, like some straps can be...but, its description as heavy duty is not accurate...this strap will last with the best of them, if it is taken care of...I expect to have this around for quite a long time...'nuff said!

Comments about Levy's Heirloom Guitar Strap:

I got this strap this week from this vendor. It is very nice but it could stand to be a few inches longer. I can not use it with my dreadnought sized acoustic guitar, and my semi hollow rides too high, at maximum length. If you have a smaller body git, like a Les Paul or a Tele, it would be fine, unless you like to hang it real low.

Comments about Levy's Heirloom Guitar Strap:

I really like this guitar strap. I bought it because my other strap was pretty boring. This really adds an interesting look to your guitar. It is extremely comfortable and can even be worn when having no shirt on. There is really no need for strap locks because the ends are pretty tough. The only negatives are that the strap IS NOT red. Its more of a plum color. I dont mind. The print is slightly cut off but its not a big deal to me. Overall a great product.
