    So Far So Good

    I usually use the Live Wire advantage and have had no trouble with them over the last 2-3 years. Prior to that i was constantly resoldering cables. I needed another cable so picked one of these up admittedly on the looks. I have been happy with them the coating is sticky feeling though and has a distinct smell to them. When it comes time to buy another cable I will definitely buy another.

    Great Alternative

    I've been using these cables for the past 2 years in place of Monster cables. Don't get me wrong, Monster cables are great, but I needed a more cost effective solution to my cable needs. I've been recording, gigging, and everything in between and I really like these cables. Well worth the price.

    Live Wire Soundhose Cable

    Picked up a 20' version of this cable at a local music shop. Cable looked cool as heck, and had a tough thermoplastic covering so I thought I'd give it a try. Took it home, threw it in my gig bag and forgot about it. Several weeks later, (after throwing the receipt away) I got it out and tried it. It didn't work at all, and every time I moved it would pop and short causing the amp to crackle. I took the plug covers off, and found one plug was directly shorted between the conductors. So I cut the plug off, bought a new plug and soldered it on. Checked continuity with an ohmeter, and it checked out OK. Plugged it in, and it worked, but had really poor high frequency response. It was like it was clipping all the high notes out of the signal path. To confirm this, I switched to a Monster cable it it worked perfectly. I am extremely unsatisfied with this cable, and would not recommend anyone buy any Live Wire cable. In my humble opinion, it is second rate stuff. I have since thrown away a very expensive cable and won't buy another.
