After ordering the thinner of the two, receiving an entirely different item altogether, I exchanged it for the wider version. This was a good call. Although I play keytar in my band, the weight distribution was better for longer practice sessions (much longer than a live set). I had to adjust the original configuration of the nylon lower portion of the strap to get the length needed for comfort due to the placement too high on my torso to play all the keys. However, once I was able to maximize the total length, it lowered my axe to a position that was more natural feeling and form followed function as far as I was concerned. I cannot leave it in place on my axe when placing in the instrument stand (U-shaped "neck" portion) because of the extra width, but that's not an issue because I have a quick release clip-lock to avoid accidental removal. Overall I'm pleased with the quality as well as the "bling" factor of the studded design under stage lighting. It goes well with my stage wardrobe and gives my band, The Rock Czars, a continuity consistent with my visual standards.

I bought the biggest version of this strap. I haven't used the smaller one but this one wasn't too good. My old strap that I was trying to replace beats this one. I had it for a couple of weeks and it split apart in the middle and there is just a thin layer of paperboard inside of it and some of the metal studs were coming loose. It is a really cheap strap and I guess it is ok for the money, but I wouldn't recommend it. It isn't very comfy either. I would put it on and it make my guitar feel like it was 5 pounds heavier and dug into my shoulders. It looks pretty sweet though. If you wanna look good but not feel good then get it. Because it is only for looks. But end the end it isn't terrible. But I would recommend you spend your money on a better strap or just not get the bigger version.

Seems like the straps of today use thin leather.; yes it's flexible. You may need strap locks especially in live applications.

        very nice strap

Comments about LM Products Studded Guitar Strap:

        Overall ... Great Guitar strap!
This is the most comfortable strap I have ever bought! I got the 3 inch model which has a nice thick strap so the studs don't poke thru the back. The strap is also very long. Most straps that I have purchased are not long enough, that is not the case here. Great product! After I saw how nice it was, I got 4 more for all my other guitars.

Sick strap, but not worth it.

        By Pete Slippy

Comments about LM Products Studded Guitar Strap:

I give this strap a 4 star because while it looks like the baddest guitar strap out there, it doesnt hold your guitar very well AT ALL. When I used to use it, I was always worried about the THIN leather ripping and dropping my bass. So it is cool, but go grab a cool strap that is not going to risk breaking your axe.

        great strap

        By Sheckler707

        from Mansfield, PA

Comments about LM Products Studded Guitar Strap:

I've seen a lot of reviews about splitting straps and it bending to a "permanent" shape if you let it sit too long, but hey! its leather baby! its supposed to wear and tear and look beautiful doing it! as for the bending, i don't know if this was just for me but the part where it was bent from sitting on the stand made a natural spot for it to sit on my shoulder. great strap, very comfy, but it does lack a little grip on your shoulder like a raw leather strap would have.

Comments about LM Products Studded Guitar Strap:

I use it with my G&L L2000 and no strap locks and it won't ever come off on stage. But it rubbed against my neck and started to slit into 2 layers.I super glued it together and its been fine.Leaving it on the bass while it's on the stand makes the ends curl,so if you don't have locks you really need to take it off and lay it flat when not using it.That's a pain.

        Excellent long-lasting strap

Comments about LM Products Studded Guitar Strap:

I have the 3" version for about 1 1/2 yrs that I use with my Dean From Hell. I had it installed with straploks, so there was never really any reason to worry about it coming off.I will second the comment about it separating and some of the studs seem loose.Only because I torment the strap, swinging my heavy guitar around and all, did the leather finally stretch enough to come off the straplok. So I need a new one, but this has lasted a LONG time.I'm also 6'4, this strap is one of the few that is long enough for me!
