The system combines a custom version of the award winning Element undersaddle pickup with a miniature endpin preamp, soundhole mounted volume control and is powered by a 3 Volt coin cell battery. The entire system weighs less than one 9 Volt battery and tucks away neatly inside the small instrument for a non-invasive installation.

I have one of these installed in my tenor ukulele, and it is the best I have used. the sound is very accurate amplified, just louder, of course.

As a result of my first review I was contacted by a company tech. He said that there were some pick ups that shipped from the company with issues. I must have purcsed one of them. I was sent a new unit so I installed it. I am now a very satisfied user. It performs as advertised.
I am absolutely impressed with the level of customer service extended to me. For that I am also very thankful. I would recommend this pick up to anyone looking or superior amplified sound from their Uke.

As I said, this works incredibly well and as it should in my Kamaka. Others who use these report equally happy results (check YouTube). I do not work for this company or sell these, I am just a very, very satisfied customer with 30+ years playing fretted instruments.
I had this professionally mounted in a Kamaka HF-3 Tenor, which is arguably one of the best ukuleles you can buy. This system captures the sound beautifully playing back through my Fishman Loudbox (again, a quality item) extremely well. I find it to have an ultra-clean, true sound with no distortion at all; indeed, of all of the systems I have tried, this is far and away THE BEST I have ever heard. Nice that it has a volume control, which gives you some on-board control of the sound. The thing I like most about this is that you get none of the handling and extraneous noise of many other systems. I would suggest you always get these installed by a qualified repair person or Luthier as any time you drill into a bridge and a instrument body you run the risk of not doing it right. You also have to shave some of the saddle down to compensate for the height added by the pick-up, which again is best left in the hands of a pro. If you get it installed right, you should absolutely love this item

I had this system installed in my Kala Uke and play it through a Mackie P.A. board and JBL Eon speakers with Radial JDI. This pick up distorts terribly with the slightest amount of aggressive attack on the strings. What I mean by that is anything harder than light fingerpicking. The system I play through is great and anything I've plugged into it sounds great. If it wasn't for the disappointing distortion the reproduction of the sound is very good but I don't want an electric guitar distort on my Uke. I do not recommend this to anyone searching for a good clean sound.
Overall features are good.
I guess the actual parts are quality in nature. But, good parts and bad sound do not make a good system.
There is no value to a pick up system that does not deliver what was promised and at this price has no justification.
