Owned 3 of these pedals. I play 3-7 gigs a week at 4 hours each. 1/4 of my performance is keyboards. these pedals haven't lasted more than a year. They drop the sustain enexpectedly a little at first and then fail completely. They might be good for a home occasional player but they don't hold up on da road!

Well made,Sturdy construction. only down side is that it doesn't have a polarity switch, but not a big deal just have to go into set up to change polarity.

Comments about M-Audio SP-2 Sustain Pedal:

Excellent heavy duty keyboard pedal. I needed a new pedal because my old pedal worked the opposite way it is supposed to on my new Casio keyboard (sustained all the time, stopped sustaining when pedal was pressed).
This pedal works properly on my new keyboard and has a very "piano like" pedal feel.
This claims to be a "universal" pedal that can switch polarity. There is no visible switch and there were no directions as to how to change polarity included.

Comments about M-Audio SP-2 Sustain Pedal:

I am learning piano and a friend let me borrow his electronic keyboard, but did not have a sustain pedal. I decided to purchase this pedal based on the price.

I was a bit skeptical about how it would hold up because of the low price, but I don't see this product ever breaking; the design feels solid.

The one issue I have with this product is that it slips on my hardwood floor. This may not be a design flaw though, because I the only footwear I own is a pair of big heavy logging boots. I could use it without wearing my boots I'm sure, but it is an uncomfortable angle for my ankle.

Comments about M-Audio SP-2 Sustain Pedal:

Like previous reviewers, this pedal stops working after regular use. The sustain stops registering and makes this pedal useless. Bad build quality. Do not buy this pedal unless you need it for one gig only.

Comments about M-Audio SP-2 Sustain Pedal:

We bought this for our worship band and it got used daily. The first one we purchased did not work right at all. Then Musician's Friend sent us a new one. It worked great for about 2 months and in the middle of a performance this one broke also. Just stopped working. Bought a new one somewhere else.
Love Musician's Friend. The pedal is terrible.

I use this sustain pedal with a MIDI keyboard home-recording setup. Very stable, doesn't slip, lever has great feel to it, a good amount of resistance and spring back.

I like the fact that it LOOKS like a keyboard pedal... I bought 2 of them... One for the sustain and the other for the soft functions... I had to hit the polarity switches, so they would perform like they're supposed to.
