It isn't just about flexibility, it's about bending the note 'til it rings true.

Martin SP Flexible Core strings have a thin, but strong core wire and a thicker wrap wire, which allows them to be flexible and easy on the fingers while holding standard tension. SP Flexible Core strings feel soft to the touch, making them ideal for beginners. But don't be fooled by comfort! Comments about Martin FX700 12-String SP Flexible Core Custom Gauge Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These flex core strings are the best, I use them on all my guitars. The tone quality and response is awesome for fingerpicking and they're super easy on the fingers. The only issue I have with the twelve string set is that it only comes in the extra light gauge so you can't detune them very far. I use some medium gauge strings for the low e, a and d string

Comments about Martin FX700 12-String SP Flexible Core Custom Gauge Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I have used many brands over the past 40 years of playing, and I still prefer the original Martin SP strings to maintain that signature Martin tone from my Martin D12-35. The sound lasts longer with the SP strings than any other brand. I have found that they also hold their tuning as long as 9 months when the guitar is properly cared for as well. Most strings start to lose the sound after as little as 4 months, and need to be replaced, but the SP strings last as long as 20 months before they start to lose the sound. I have been called a Martin snob, and many other names, but having seen the way that the guitars and strings are still hand made much as they were in the 1700s, I just like the feeling and quality that I is consistent with the Martin brand. I am not rich, just picky. And what better term could you find for an old guitar player than "picky"?!

Easy 12 String Set to Fret

Comments about Martin FX700 12-String SP Flexible Core Custom Gauge Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Wow - these are some of the easiest strings to fret! Martin was not kidding when they say that the thinner core reduces finger fatigue. 12-string guitars can be the hardest to fret, especially barre chords. I've been playing 12-string guitars off and on for 23 years. These strings even help improve intonation on my 1989 Seagull S12 12-string acoustic.

I didn't give these a top rating because they are not treated like the Martin SP Lifespans. My acidic fingers already tarnished one of the strings after one hour of playing. That would be average for untreated and uncoated strings.

Comments about Martin FX700 12-String SP Flexible Core Custom Gauge Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I'm using these strings on a 46-year-old Martin. The old girl has gotten pretty finicky in her old age. I need strings that keep good tension even in a
Iighter gage. I have to tune own to D to keep the action sweet, but I can't have light gage strings that lose their pitch or waggle like rubber bands. These are the best I have found so far. Usually,, my acoustic guitars have Daddario strings, but the old twelve gets these.

Comments about Martin FX700 12-String SP Flexible Core Custom Gauge Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I like these better the regular strings. Worth the extra costs.
This is my first 12 String so I am comparing these to the Six strings that I have used in the past. These sound and feel really good.
            Great quality!!!
For the money you can't go wrong.
