Martin Marquis strings are great quality from a Guitar Company that cares. I like the tone and use them consistently on my acoustic guitars. With the silk wrap at the ends my ebony bridge must be happy. LOL

Different strings will have different characteristics. Any time I try a new brand I always compare them to these. They are not the work horse that some others are - they will not last quite as long as some other brands, but they have the BEST 'fresh tone' of any phosphorus bronze I've ever tried. If you want a nice bright ring, use these strings. If you want something that will last longer, try another brand.

These strings can't be beat. I've used them for years on my 1965 Gibson Country Western. I also use them on my Ovation Elite and they sound fantastic. These strings do not break and retainthat new sting sound for a long time. I strongly suggest that you give them a try. You can't go wrong.

a fine accoustic axe must be strung with a string that is nylon wrapped at the ball end.there are only two: martin marquis and gibson j200. decide for yourself.

I just changed my Martin SP4200 medium's for the Marquis M2100 phosphor/bronze light's on my D28--these are great strings with a wonderful, warm Martin tone. They go well with the solid wood body of the D28. Also my fingers are happy too. The medium strings do a number to your fingers.
