Comments about Martin M2200 Marquis 92/8 Phosphor Bronze Medium Guitar Strings:

While transitioning to all wood, American guitars, then bone nuts and bridge and pins, I started experimenting with strings to refine to the most perfect sound quality. My Martin D-15 mahogany has had these 92/8s on for around 2 months of hard strum, solo bending, harmonic (which don't stress) but harm's are great and just peel off without effort. To the main quality of these strings being superior over any other acoustic, specifically phosphor bronze strings. I put these on around 10 weeks ago, at first they were almost too bright, but after some playing they sound great. The unique thing about these are now 10-12 weeks in, these strings sound amazingly awesome, better than new like they get better with age. Now these are on a solid mahogany Martin with natural bold sound by the guitar itself with everything under the hood, these strings are by far superior to any string on the market, I've tried most, DR, Addario, Gibson, among others. Those are all very nice strings, most equal quality or very close. I just ordered 3 sets, which will be going on my D-1 Custom which just got bone replacing the plastic bridge, nut, and pins. I just put the Gibson mediums on it which are probably my second choice string. The 92/8s will be going on her as soon as I wear the Gibson strings out. The D-15 is just too superior with these strings to use anything else. I can't express enough the aging quality, they are amazing, absolutely amazing. I do use fast fret on my strings after use though I put a piece of cardboard between the strings and the fretboard so the fast fret doesn't stain the fretboard. I want others to discover these so Martin keeps them on the market.

      M2200 New Favorite

Comments about Martin M2200 Marquis 92/8 Phosphor Bronze Medium Guitar Strings:

I have always used Marquis 80/20 medium guage on my Gibson Hummingbird. I recently
started participating in a weekly B-Grass jam in a noisy little cafe' and didn't get the
projection I thought I needed. I tried the M2200 92/8 strings and couldn't be more pleased.
I will stick with them for now they are deeper, higher, and project better in noisy environments.
I still use the 80/20 strings on my other guitars, they are a top quality string. For my money
it's the Martin Marquis line for Bluegrass pickin'............
