These strings are great! I have a Alvarez 5020S from the early nineties. I replace the badly worn out saddle with a tusq saddle and with Martin's medium .013-.056 strings. I was not happy with the sound and the feel and tone of the strings. I lowered the string action on the saddle and replace the strings with Martin's Extra light .010-.047, WOW! what a difference. A deep rich tone, bass and treble and awesome harmonics and fuzz free. I will use these strings again. I'm very happy and satisfied with the quality, response and brilliance these strings delivered.

Both 1st strings (high E strings broke upon stringing the guitar. I am an experienced musician. Would you send me 2 high E 1st strings free? I hope the other strings maintain their strength.

Comments about Martin M530 Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I thought these light gauge strings would not have the richness of a medium wound string. No way. These strings are clear and full of sound. Rich deep bottom end. I will buy again.

Comments about Martin M530 Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I have been using Martin Strings for dozens of years and year in and year out their performance has been consistent. They sound great and last a long time for me (and I beat up my strings pretty badly...) Whether I'm recording, performing or just practicing, Martin Strings are the most reliable band-mates I have ever had!

When they did the set up on my D-28, I let them choose the strings. Brought the guitar home, played it and immediately replaced the strings with these.

            Now it's right.

BTW : Lightning fast deliver and great price

Comments about Martin M530 Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I used to use these on my Martin D15 (spruce top). I was playing out every week during the summers and changed strings before each gig - I only had a string break once during a show. When not changed weekly, I had g strings break, unravel really, at the bridge. I used 400 grit sandpaper on the bridge but the problem persisted. I switched to similarly gauged GHS and have had no problems. I used to buy them in quantity at a time and may have had a bad batch, but if you have this problem, it may not be your guitar. The low rating is not due to the sound, but problems I had with them.
