Comments about Martin M550 Phosphor Bronze Medium 3-Pack Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These strings are not the same quality of the 550's I've used for years. Until they are stretched more than normal several had a sharp tinny sound in the open position. The 750's I purchased earlier had the same problem and one the 3rd broke easily while tuning.

Comments about Martin M550 Phosphor Bronze Medium 3-Pack Acoustic Guitar Strings:

These work great my little Martin LX1E as suggested by Martin guitar co. & use the lights on my full size Martin. Between rehearsals & gigs, they get a lot of use and hold up well.

Comments about Martin M550 Phosphor Bronze Medium 3-Pack Acoustic Guitar Strings:

With 49 years of experience at playing guitar on and off stage I have used many brands of strings and string sizes. Different Guitar Makers often REQUIRE different string SIZES and Recommend string Types which should be seriously considered when purchasing new strings. If you are looking for something to liven up your guitar sound, the Martin M550 Phosphor Bronze Strings work well on just about any guitar. The sound is strong and clear and excellent for Bluegrass Pickers and Country and Rock Rhythm Players. The M550s are easy to fret and cause less pain than the thin gauge strings in long sessions. I use them on a D35 Martin, a Guild D25M and a Takamine G330 with great sound results. I have also used them on Studio Recordings and they sound great on CDs. The low cost, long life and excellent tone make the Martin M550 Phosphor Bronze String an excellent all around string for the Novice and the Pro.
