Special coating extends string life and keeps your tone true longer.

Like all the Martin SP Studio/Performance Series strings, the MSP4150 SP Phosphor Bronze Light/Medium acoustic guitar strings are ideal live, in the studio, or wherever maximum string life is desired. The creation of these high-performance Martin strings is a result of research done in cooperation with specialty steel producers. Due to the development of a top-notch ultra-high quality steel core, Martin SP strings resist breakage better than average strings. In addition, both the core wires and the plain strings are plated with a smooth, acoustic bronze finish. Though this golden bronze finish will enhance the beauty of your guitar, its purpose is much more functional—to prolong brightness, guitar string life, and provide superior tonal quality to meet the high expectations of demanding musicians.

    Features

    • Gauges: .0125 - .055
    • Ultra-high quality steel core
    • Core wires and plain strings plated with an acoustic bronze finish

I went lighter in my loafers

    By Stephen Monroe

    from Omaha, NE

Comments about Martin MSP4150 SP Phosphor Light/Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Decent, durable, good sound, flexible....worth a try I would say
I went to a lighter Martin string with more ring to it....they worked admirably and I am a hard player and it was a 3 hour solo gig. They were easier to play than the .013s like I was intending. Flexible and a nice feel
Not a giver of 10s but they are all that they are said to be and did what I wanted just thinking the heavier 92/8s give the guitar a better sound
I bought 5 sets...not unhappy I did....it just took Grant and his Army to get them from UPS...I live in an apartment

    Martin Strings Win Again

    By Stephen Monroe

    from Omaha, NE

Comments about Martin MSP4150 SP Phosphor Light/Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

If you're thinking about giving them a try, just go ahead and do it. I believe you will be a happy customer. I am.....now for Martin guitar...
I have been using .13's 93/8's and I wanted to see what these were like and they are as durable and the high ends sings a lot more. A well rounded natural sound I am loving without the loss of tone.
I keep wanting to try other strings but these suckers are not breaking on me and I thunder on my strings. I play with a lot of percussion and they stay in tune, sound great and play really good for a fat fingered old honky blues man
I love these strings and my experiences with the varied Martin string line up

    True Light/Medium Strings

    By Daniel Lubben

    from Rocky Mountains

Comments about Martin MSP4150 SP Phosphor Light/Medium Acoustic Guitar Strings:

Works very well in some situations.
I purchased these strings in hope to add fullness to my Eastman E20om which comes with light guage strings. While strumming works fine with these strings it took away too much of the mellow characteristics of the DR Sunbeam lights that I like, especially for fingerpicking. I have a set of these on my Taylor GS and they do a fine job considering they are a lighter string than recommended. These are the only true Light/Medium strings that I have seen. Almost all the other string companies have medium lows and light highs. These strings are great for decent performance with a lighter than medium strings.
    Very consistant
Decent price but not the cheapest
