OVERVIEW

Great sounding strings in a 2-pack from Martin.

The Martin SP 7100 Phosphor Bronze Lifespan Coated Light Acoustic Strings - 2 Pack is the perfect answer to the age-old question "Should I just get one pack or should I get two?" Martin is here to answer that for us. Martin SP Lifespan acoustic guitar strings are treated with Cleartone proprietary technology to bring you the longest possible string life without sacrificing tone or natural feel. Recommended for all types of musical styles these strings are designed to repel the oils and dirt that can deaden strings.

Phosphor Bronze strings are bright, but slightly warmer sound than 80/20 bronze when first put on the guitar and offer consistent tone over time. Martin SP Lifespan acoustic guitar strings are used by Martin on the majority of its production guitars. Martin SP Lifespan with Cleartone proprietary technology provides a rich full tone with the added benefit of longer life.

I have used the Martin Acoustic string for quite a while and am always satisfied... I especially like this series of string. They do sound great and are dependable equipment for your Guitar....... Here is a plus: When I play Acoustic, I use my Seagull, S6 Coastline........... When I get a compliment on my tone... I always say, : "Yep, you know some of this guitar is part Martin!" ........ Nothing at all wrong with a Seagull, but I prefer the Martin Strings for my Flat Top............. Hope this review helps in some way...

I bought a couple of sets of these a while back when they were on sale. I put one set on one of my guitars when I received them. No issues. They don't last as long as Elixirs, but they are OK if you get them cheap. Tone is good. I wouldn't buy them again. My B string ball end unraveled and popped off inside my guitar on my second set. That can happen with any set of strings but it has never happened to me before and I change strings about twice a week depending on my schedule. I use uncoated strings on one guitar and coated on the other. I have tried just about every brand of coated string made and keep going back to Elixir. Having the whole string sealed makes a difference for me.

Great strings, have on vintage Gibsons. Heavy enough for superb tone, but not so heavy to damage older necks.

Comments about Martin SP 7100 Phosphor Bronze Lifespan Coated Acoustic Strings Light - 2 Pack:

I purchased a couple Martin acoustic guitars some time ago and the dealer used these strings. The first time I used strings I previously used on these guitars, I noticed a huge difference both in overall tone and longevity. These strings are the only strings I use now, they're worth the price.

If you have a cheap guitar strings don't matter if you play a decent instrument then they do, these are good strings. the light and medium gauge work well and seem to last longer than strings that are not coated. I will purchase more of these strings in the future.

Comments about Martin SP 7100 Phosphor Bronze Lifespan Coated Acoustic Strings Light - 2 Pack:

I've used these on multiple guitars in the past year. Beautiful tones from high to low. Nice feel. Some flex for bends. Perfect for my larger parlor and baby jumbo size guitars. Works on the dreadnought too, when I don't want to work as hard as 13's. For me, these hold up for a month of daily playing; much longer for occasional use. Great strings!
