I recently purchased a Takamine G Series acoustic bass. I was never a fan of the bulk or weight of the acoustic bass hard case. Being that I mostly use gig bags, I wanted to get one for my new addition. I thought the Michael Kelly bag would be a quality item at a nice price.
PROS:
-The fit and finish of this bag is really nice.
-The zippers worked well, and were not cheap.
-The inside was decently padded.
-The large pocket was great for cables, straps, etc.
-The adjustable strap can allow the bag to ride high or low on the wearer.
-The bag is priced right.
CONS:
-The bag in the picture is a nice tan color. The bag I got was black.
-The bag only has one carry strap. Not a huge deal, since I usually only use one strap.
-I had to return this bag, because a Takamine acoustic bass is too long and the body is too wide for this bag.
Had this bag been large enough to fit my acoustic bass, I wouldve happily kept it. If your bass will fit this bag, you will be a happy customer.

I have traveled internationally with this case... walked up to the plane and no one batted an eye; the flight over was crowded and the flight attendant offered to stow it in their compartment but the flight back was not as crowded and it fit well in the overhead compartment.
Plenty of storage in the main pocket and the two smaller front pockets are great for quick-access as they are only secured by a velcro flap.
My only gripe is that the strap didn't hold up that well... I'd have loved a back-pack style double strap but overall it's a great investment!

Was going to buy the Fender but was out of stock. This was probably a blessing. Read some other reviews on this bag and they were spot on. This is an awesome bag with lots of padding and other features. Dont know how it could be much better without being a case.

Very durable, soft inside. Only one pocket, but it's huge. I'm able to carry anything I need for acoustic gigs.
